4 REMOTE CONTROL NOTE : • Don’t mix new with used batteries or batteries of different types. • If you are not using the remote control for a long period of time, remove the batteries to eliminate potential battery leakage.
T wo buttons to set the temperature When unit is running under AUTO, COOL, F AN, HEA T , press this button to select the fan speed. AUTO mode, LOW fan, MED fan, HIGH fan. In DEHUMIDIFYING mode the fan speed is set to LOW and cannot be changed. Press this button to select the operation mode desired.
6 REMOTE CONTROL OPERA TION LIQUID CRYST AL DISPLA Y Show all set functions. ON/OFF Press this key to turn the unit on or off. Press on SWING to start the automatic oscillation of the louvers. Press again to cancel or stop oscillation. Press T -OFF to stop the air conditioner at a desired time.
7 SAFETY NOTES Always set the most adequate temperature. It is recommend to set the temperature about 5°C cooler than the outside temperature to reduce energy costs. Keep doors and windows closed when the air conditioner is running, otherwise it could affect the air conditioner cooling ef ficiency .
8 MAINTENANCE CAUTION T urn power off and then cut the circuit-breaker of f before cleaning the air conditioner . Never spray water on the indoor and outdoor units when cleaning the air conditioner . Always use a dry soft cloth and warm water , without or with a mild detergent.
MAINTENANCE 1. Remove the air filters, as described in step #1 of “Cleaning the air filters” section. 2. T ake the active-carbon air filters out of the bag and place them into the filter frames. • Be cautious not cut yourself on the fins. 3. Reinstall the air filters, as described in step #3 of “Cleaning the air filers” section.
10 TROUBLESHOOTING The air conditioner does not run immediately after the power key is pressed on. There is an unusual odour coming out of the air outlet grills when the air conditioner is running. A clicking noise can be heard when the unit is turned on or shut off.
11 TROUBLESHOOTING Unusual noise can be heard during operation. Power fuse or switch often breaks. Carelessly splash water or something into air conditioner . Electrical lines and power plug are very hot. Wind blowing from the outlet smells bad during operation.

21 TEST OPERA TION 1. Before test operation (1) Do not switch on power before installation is finished completely . (2) Electric wiring must be connected cor- rectly and securely . (3) Cut-off valves of the connection pipes should be opened. (4) All the impurities such as scraps and thrums must be clear from the unit.
22 IMPORT ANT NOTICE • Always consult a qualified electrician to install the unit. • Please contact the after sales service for any problems. • If you have to carry your air conditioner in down position, it is suggested to wait 12 hours before you restart the machine.
