4 PPT 280 0 Series Installing Bat teries Before usin g your PPT 2800, ins tall a lithiu m-ion bat tery: 1. Open the la tches on the batt ery door and lift th e battery door away from t he PP T 2800 .

Performing a Sof t Re set A soft rese t resta rts the termi nal an d sav es all s tored records and entries. Caution: Files tha t remai n open du ring a soft reset may not b e retained.
17 Quic k Ref erenc e Performing a Hard Reset A hard res et also re starts your PP T 2800 terminal, but era ses all stored rec ords and entr ies. Therefo re, never perfo rm a hard reset unless a sof t reset does n ot solve your p roblem .
