23 1. Remove the battery cover b y pushing the battery cover upwards with your thumb. 2. Insert the batteries, observi ng the correct polari ty (see battery compartment marki ng). 3. 24 SETTING UP 1. First, insert the batteri es in the transmi tter (see “T o install and replace batterie s in the ther mo-hygro transmitter ” above). 2. Within 2 minutes of poweri ng up the tran smitter , insert the batteries i n the weather statio n (see “ To install and replace batterie s in the w eather station ” above).
25 DCF RADIO C ONTRO LLED TIME The time base for t he radio controll ed time is a C esium Atomic Cl ock operated by the Physikali sch Technisc he Bundesanstalt Bra unschweig which has a time dev iation of less than one seco nd in one milli on years.

28 TIME ZONE S ETTING: The time zone defa ult of the weather stati on is “0”. To set a different time zo ne: 1. The current time zone value starts flas hing. 2. Use the + key to set t he time zone. T he range runs from 0 to -12 and t hen runs from +12 back to 0 in consecutive 1-ho ur intervals.
29 CALENDAR SETTING: The date default of t he weather statio n is 1. 1. 2011. O nce the radio-controll ed time signals are rec eived, the date i s automaticall y updated. However, if the s ignals are not received, the date ca n also be set manual ly. 1.

34 To wall mount: 1. Fix a screw (not suppl ied) into the desired wall , leaving the head extended out by abo ut 5mm. 2. Place the weather stati on onto the screw, using the ha nging hole on the backside. Gently p ull the weather station down to lock t he screw into place.
