FUNCTIONS W HICH REQUIRE ADDITIONAL UNITS Those functions of the CP -6 3 which require either the addition of specific units or processing i n existing u nits a re as mentioned below. Before installation and adjustment of equipment, make sure to check y ou r system.

TIE-LINE CONNECTION O F T H E EXCHANGES 1 . Function of the Central Processing U ni t CP-63 To make communications between exchanges possible in the EXES- 6000 system, the C P- 63 and the Tie-line Interface U ni t TI-62 are required in addition to the exchange EX-610 or the EX-620.

WIRING F O R TIE-LINE CONNECTION OF T H E EXCHANGES Each e xc hange can b e c onnected by means of a cable w ith a diameter of 0. 65mm (25. 6 mi l s .) f o r a di s t ance of up to 2 km (5600 ft). Regarding the tieline links which are not used, tu rn of f the DIP switch of each unused tieline link inside the Tie-line Unit TI-62.
