Safety and com fort - 9 Never use any charger or battery that is damaged. The capacity and lifetime of the battery will be reduced if the battery is left in hot or cold places, such as in a closed car in summer or winter . Always try to keep the battery between 15°C and 25°C (59°F and 77°F).

16 - First things f irst • T ap the Settin gs charm > Po wer > Shut down . To turn the power off (to get into BIOS upon reboot), do the following: • T ap the Sett ings charm > Change PC settings > General . Under "Advanced startup", tap Rest art now .

Your Acer com puter tour - 2 9 Inserting the computer in to the keyboard cover Note: Always use caution when using and transporting the keyboard cover. Acer recommends using two hands when holding the keyboard case. 1. Place the holder into the keyboard's channel to put the holder in position.

32 - Your Ac er computer tou r 2. Pull the computer away from the holder . Using the keyboard Your Bluetooth keyboard comes pre-paired with the P3. You only need to turn on the keyboard and the P3 Bluetooth function by doing the following: 1. T ap the Settings charm > Change PC settings > Wireless .
Your Acer com puter tour - 3 3 Pairing with the P3 If your Bluetooth keyboard loses connection with the P3, you will need to pair again. After the pairing process is complete , you're able to turn your keyboard off and on again without having to pair again.
34 - Your Ac er computer tou r Charging the keyboar d The keyboard cover comes with an embedded bat tery and a USB charging cable. The cable's large end connects to the tablet's USB port and the small end connects to the keyboard's micro USB port.

Using the virtual keyboard - 37 U SING THE VIRTUAL KEYBOARD Microsoft Windows provides a convenient virtual keyboard for entering data. There are several ways to display the keyboard: Tap inside any text field to display the Windows virtual keyboard.
38 - Using the virtual keyb oard From Desktop, tap the Keyboard icon in the system tray to display the keyboard. Tap the "x" in the keyboard’s top-right corner to close the keyboard.
Wireless networks - 39 W IRELESS NETWORKS Connecting to the Internet Your computer's wireless connection is turned on by default. Windows will detect and display a list of available networks during setup. Select your network and enter the password if required.
40 - Wireless networks Installation speed and simplicity Installing a wireless LAN system can be fast and easy and eliminates the need to pull cables through walls and ceilings.
Acer clear.fi - 41 A CER CLEAR . FI Note: Only for certain models. With Acer clear.fi, you can enjoy videos, photos and music. Stream media from, or to, other devices with Acer clear.fi installed. Note: All devices must be connected to the same network.
42 - Acer clear.f i Use the media controls in the bar across the bottom of the screen to control playback. For example, when music is selected, you can play, pause or stop playback, and adjust the volume. Note: You must activate sharing on the device that stores the files.

44 - Power m anagement P OWER MANAGEMENT This computer has a built-in power management unit that monitors system activity. System activity refers to any activity involving one or more of the following devices: keyboard, mouse, hard disk, peripherals c onnected to the computer, and video memory.
Power manageme nt - 45 Note : Once in Deep Sleep, your PC will consume significantly less power compared with Sleep mode, but it will take a little longer to wake up from Deep Sleep. Deep Sleep and Sleep mode work together to ensure that your comp uter saves as much power as possible while still enabling quick, instant on access.

50 - Battery pack Optimizing battery life Optimizing battery life helps you get the most out of battery op eration, prolonging the charge/recharge cycle and improving recharging efficiency. You are advised to follow the suggestions set out below: • Use AC power whenever possible, reserving battery for on-the-go use.
