4 Stow the seat belt buckles. Pull the lock r elease lever and fold down the seatback until it r eaches the position where the head r estraints can be remov ed. Remove the head r estraints by pulling the head restr aint up while pushing the lock release butt on.

11 Wipers Rain-sensing windscr een wipers (if equipped) W ith “ AUT O” selected, the wipers will operate automatically when the sensor detects falling rain. The system aut omatically adjusts wiper timing in accor dance with rain volume and vehicle speed.
12 Electric windows and windows lock Electric windows can be opened and closed using the follo wing switches Window lock switch 1 . Closing. 2. One-touch closing*. 3. Opening 4 . One-touch opening*. Press the switch down t o lock the passenger window switch.
13 Gear change V ehicles with manual transmission V ehicles with Multidrive Shifting the shift lever – 5 and 6 speed models F ully depress the clut ch pedal before operating the shift lever , and then release the clutch pedal slowly . 15 Bonne t opening R elease the lock fr om inside of the vehicle to open the bonnet. P ull the bonnet release lever . The bonnet will pop up slightly . Release the bonnet catch and lift the bonnet. Hold the bonnet open by inserting the supporting rod into the slot.
