BCXC-SVX0 1B-EN 9 Gener al Inf or mation Blo wer Coil Gener al Inf or mation Blower coil units are draw -thru air handlers for cooling load conditions of 400–30 0 0 cfm. Units are available in either horizontal (model BCHC) or vertical (model BCVC) configurations.
10 BCXC-SVX0 1B-EN Gener al Infor mation a control valve and stop (ball) va lves. The deluxe pac k age consists of a control valve, a stop (ball) valve, a circuit se t ter , and strainer . Belt-drive motor s range from 1/3 to 3 horsepower in a wide range of voltages.
BCXC-SVX0 1B-EN 11 Pr e-Installation Receiving and Handling Blower coil units are pac k aged for easy handling a nd storage on the job site. Upon deli very , inspect all components for po ssible shipping damage. See the “Receiving Chec klis t” section (below) for detailed instructions.
12 BCXC-SVX0 1B-EN Pr e-Installation Installation Pr eparation Before installing the un it, perf orm the following procedures to ensure pro per unit operation. 1 . V erify the floor or foun dation is level. Shim or repair as necessary . T o ensure proper unit operation, install th e unit level (zero tolerance) in both horizontal axes.
BCXC-SVX0 1B-EN 13 Pr e-Installation Rigging and Handling Before preparing the unit for lifti ng, estimate the approximate center of gravi ty for lifting safety . Because of place ment of internal components, the unit weight may be unevenly distributed , with more weight in the coil area.
14 BCXC-SVX0 1B-EN Pr e-Installation 1 . Consider the unit weig ht. Reference the unit weight on the unit nameplate or in “Dimensions and W eights, ” p. 15 . 2. Allow sufficient space for the recommen ded clearances, acce ss panel remo val, and maintenance acce ss.
