8 Direct-F ired Indoor an d Outdoor Units • MUA-SV P0 1A-EN Unit Operating Modes MR T Contr ols: MR T , modulating room temperature , is the most basic AdaptAire cont rol for room temperature. The MR T control system includes a remote cont rol panel equipped with 1 o r 2 potentiometers, 3 or more pilot lights, and up to 2 switc hes.
MUA-SVP0 1A-EN • Direct-Fired Indoo r and Outdoor Units 9 Unit Ope rating Mode s UNIT MANU AL MODE Manual Mode allows the unit to turn on reg ardless of the T ime Cloc k or Night Setba c k functions. A BACview o r PC is required to c hange to this mode.
10 Direct-F ired Indoor an d Outdoor Units • MUA-SV P0 1A-EN Unit Operating Modes to be "of f" and the Cooling Night S etbac k f unction turns the unit "on", the unit will be cycled "of f" once the room air temperatu re has fallen 2° below the Cooling Night S et bac k setpoint.

The normal sc hedule sets the typical On/Off times for the unit. The holiday sc hedule can be programmed for up to 1 2 separate On/Of f events with an y combination of days.

In cer tain condit ions it may be necessary to readjust t he minimum disc harge air or room temperature setpo int upward or adjust th e outside/return air ratio to provid e a w armer supply air temperature.
MUA-SVP0 1A-EN • Direct-Fired Indoo r and Outdoor Units 15 Unit Ope rating Mode s line downw ard. If the room temperature fa lls to a tem perature that is 2°F below the heating setpoint, the he ating will be enabled, and the unit will be in the heating mode.
16 Direct-F ired Indoor an d Outdoor Units • MUA-SV P0 1A-EN Unit Operating Modes T o c hange the desired cooling room temperat ure of an MRT -Pro con trol system, depress the W armer but ton to increase the desired room temperature setp oint or depress the Cooler but ton to decrease the desired room temperature setpoint.

MUA-SVP0 1A-EN • Direct-Fired Indoo r and Outdoor Units 19 1 0 0% Outside Air The 1 0 0% Outside Air function automatically opens the outside air dampers and closes the return ai r damper s.
20 Direct-F ired Indoor an d Outdoor Units • MUA-SV P0 1A-EN Functions User Configur ed PID Control This function is applicable to non-recirc ulating un its only . The User Configured PID Control function allows the user to control an analog output based on a user defined analog input and setpoint.

22 Direct-F ired Indoor an d Outdoor Units • MUA-SV P0 1A-EN Functions REVERSE A CTING The controller outp ut AO-1 is modulated by a PID loop fro m 0% to 1 0 0% based on the User Control setpoint a nd the input signal to IN -9. As the input signa l increases the output voltage decreases.

ALARM. T o reset an alarm scroll through the menu tree, locate the Unit Rese ts branc h and select Al arm.
MUA-SVP0 1A-EN • Direct-Fired Indoo r and Outdoor Units 25 Functions input. A switc h is used in conjunction with eac h resistor . When a switc h is closed, the resistance at the cont roller input c hanges. This allows the controller to identify whic h switc h has closed.
MUA-SVP0 1A-EN • Direct-Fired Indoo r and Outdoor Units 26 Cr itical F ault Codes This section should assist the user in tr oubleshooting critical fault codes messages that h ave been display ed on the local user interface. These faults require the operator to cor rect the conditi on and reset the alarm before normal unit operat io n r esu m es.

The dampers utilize d on the unit are not linear with respect to a irflow and openness, and a s suc h, the proportion of outside air damper movement will not be exactly equal to the %O A setpoint.
42 Direct-F ired Indoor an d Outdoor Units • MUA-SV P0 1A-EN Diagnostics – Ye s . The AdaptAire control sy stem must be in the Hea ting mode. In this mode the smallest allow able amount of outside air is 20%. V erify the system is in the Heat ing mode and the MIN VEN T SP is set for 20%.
