Throttle / Choke Con trol The throt tle contro l lever is lo cated on th e lef t si de of the trac tor ’s dash panel, se e Figure 4 - 1 . T his lever controls the spe ed of th e engine, as we ll as the choke when i t is pushe d all the way for war d.
Parking Brake T o set the p arkin g brake, full y depress th e clutch- brake pe dal. Move the sp ee d control lever all the way down and into the pa rkin g brake positi on.
Operation 5 15 Safet y Interlock S w itches This trac tor is e quipp ed with a s afet y i nterlock s ystem f or the protec tion o f the op erator. If the interlock s ystem sho uld ever malfun c tion, do no t oper ate the trac tor. C o ntac t an author ized T roy-Bilt ser vice dealer.

6. Reinst all the oil dr ain plug se curel y . Be c aref ul not to overtight en. 4. Ref ill the e ngine wi th new motor oil as ins truc te d in the Engine Ow ner ’s Manual packed with yo ur unit.
IMPORT ANT : I f removing th e bat ter y fo r any reason, disconne ct th e NEGA TIV E (Black) w ire from i t ’s terminal fir st , followed by th e POSITIV E (Red ) wire. Whe n re -inst alling the bat ter y , al ways connec t the P OSITIV E (Red) wi re its ter minal f irst , followe d by the NEGA TI VE (Black ) wire.
