9 Appliance description The appliance is d esigned to extract cooking fumes and smells from the cooking area. This particular model can be used to extract or recirculate air. Extraction model The integrated fan extracts cooking fumes and smel ls from above the cooking surface.

12 Use Operation Switching the app l iance on A Pressing the / / or button swit ches the ap pliance on at power level 1, 2, 3 or Intensive. – The corresponding button illuminates to indicate whic h power leve l is being used. Switching the app l iance off A Select power level 1.
… Use 13 After-running time A Press the / / or button to select the desired power level. A Hold the / / or button depressed for at least 3 seconds to activate the after-running time. – An acoustic signal is emi tted. – The button flashes an d the after-running time is activated.

15 Care and maintenance Cleaning the housing Cleaning the outside/inside A Clean the outs ide using a sligh tly damp cloth – a nd detergent if necess ary – and wipe dry. Grease and condensate water can bui l d up on the insid e next to the grease filters.
… Care and maintenance 16 Cleaning the grease filters The grease filters should be cleaned at least once a month with normal use or whenever th e button flas hes. If prop erly cared f or, the grease fil ters should provide unlimited y ears of s ervice.
… Care and maintenance 17 Replacing the standard activated charcoal filter Standard activated char coal filters are only used in the recirculat ion model. A standard activated charcoal fil ter becomes less effective with use. With normal use, it has to be changed at least every 4 months or whenev er the button lights up.
… Care and maintenance 18 Cleaning and replacing the long -life activated charcoal filter Long-life activated charcoal filters are only used in the recirculation mode. Unlike the standard activate d charcoal filter, the long-l ife activated charcoa l filter can be cleane d and reactivated.
… Care and maintenance 19 A Remove and clean the grease filter. A Turn both knobs 90° and remove the long-life activated charcoal filter from the bottom. A Remove, clean, rea ctivate and re place the fil ter 1 into the frame 2 . Take care not to damage the f ilter.
… Care and maintenance 20 Changing the halogen light A Using a small screw driver, carefully lever the ring out. A Replace the defective h alogen light with a bulb of the same type (max. 20 watts). A Clean the ring and the glass. A Fit the ring and the glass back into the openings.

24 Disposal Packaging 䡲 All packaging materials (cardboard, plastic film (PE) and polystyrene (EPS)) are marked and should, if possible, be collected for recycling and disposed of in an environmentally frien dly way. Disconnection 䡲 Disconnect the appliance from the mains.
