6 7 2. General saf ety r ules and war r anty Should any unauthorised modication be performed on the equipment or should the maintenance be def ective and/or inadequate, the manufact urer is reliev ed from every liabilit y for damages due to improper or wrong use of the equipment.

Connect t o power supply The electrical feeding must be done through an automatic switc h, suitable to the pow er of the mac hine (see the identication plate on the mac hine) and pro vided with thermic protection and fuses (this installation work must be carried out b y skilled personnel only).

16 17 7 .1 . incr ease/decrease pr essure/t emperat ure The pressurestat controls temperature (pressure) by sensing the pressure in the steam boiler . Accessing the pressurest at adjustment is simple.
18 19 8.3. Minimizing Miner al Buildup Mineral buildup in the boiler can be minimized b y using the proper quality water and by de-scaling as mentioned in the general instructions. Another way to lessen this scale accumulation is to pump water out of the boiler occasionally .
20 21 9.2. Aft er each str atching milk The steam wand must be wiped of f immediately af ter ev er y use with a damp to wel or dish rag after removing the wand from the milk. As soon as the wand is wiped, the steam valve should be briey opened and closed to create a blast of steam to force out the remaining milk that may be in the wand.
22 23 9.4. Bac kflushing This is the process of forcing some special cleaner bac k though the Gr ouphead . This will remove any stray coff ee lef t in the places that normal, day-to-day cleaning cannot reac h.
