1 1 About Y our Appliance (cont.) • For proper oven performance and operation, DO NOT block or obstruct the oven vent duct located on the right side of the air grille. • Avoid touching oven vent area while oven is on and for several minutes after oven is turned off.
1 3 Getting Started W ARNING This range features a self-cleaning cycle. During this cycle, the oven reaches elevated temperatures in order to burn off soil and deposits. A powder ash residue is left in the bottom of the oven after completion of the self-clean cycle.

3 7 BROIL (Infrared Broil) The broil burner at the top of the oven heats the metal screen until it glows. Heat radiates from the Gour metGlo™ infrared broiler located at the top of the oven cavity . The distance between the foods and the broil elements deter mines broiling speed.

It is used for small, individualized cuts such as steaks, chops, and patties. Broiling speed is deter mined by the distance between the food and the broil element.
4 1 Convection Dehydrate Convection Dehydrate This oven is designed not only to cook, but also to dehydrate fruits and vegetables. Warm air is circulated by a motorized fan in the rear of the oven and over a period of time, the water is removed from the food by evaporation.
4 3 Cooking Substitutes Charts In many cases, a recipe requir es an ingredient which is not readily available or calls for a unit of measure that is not easily recognized. The following charts have been provided as useful guides in these situations. Ingredient Substitutes Recipe calls for: Substitute with: 1 tbsp.
4 5 Burner Head If ports on burner head are clogged, clean with a straight pin. DO NOT enlarge or distort the ports. DO NOT use a toothpick to clean the ports. When replacing burner head, car efully align the 2 tabs underneath the burner head with the outside edge of burner base.
