5 Getting Started Your safety and the safety of others are very important. We have provided many important safety messages in this manual and on your appliance. ALWAYS read and obey all safety messages. This is the safety alert symbol. This symbol alerts you to potential hazards that can kill or hurt you and others.
7 The refrigerator and fr eezer controls ar e located on the dispenser panel. IMPORT ANT : The display screen on the dispenser contr ol panel will turn OFF automatically and enter “sleep” mode when the control buttons and dispenser levers have not been used for 2 minutes or more.
9 When adjusting temperature set points, use the following chart as a guide. The set point range for the refrigerator is 33°F to 45°F (0°C to 7°C). The set point range for the freezer is -5°F to 5°F (-21°C to -15°C). Cooling On/Off Y our r efrigerator and freezer will not cool when cooling is turned off.

12 13 Operation Adjustable Humidity Zone™ Y ou can contr ol the amount of humidity in the Adjustable Humidity Zone drawer . Adjust the contr ol to any setting between LOW and HIGH . LOW (open) for best storage of fruits and vegetables with skins. HIGH (closed) for best storage of fresh, leafy vegetables.
15 Operation 14 Remember • The quality of your ice will be only as good as the quality of the water supplied to the ice maker . A VOID connecting the ice maker toa softened water supply . W ater softener chemicals (such as salt) can damage parts of the ice maker and lead to poor quality ice.
