1 About the camer a Congratulatio ns on y our purch ase of VistaQuest di gital c amera.
2 Unpack ing the cam era Open the pac kage and examine the contents . Y our pack age should contain the foll ow ing items : • Digital camera • Camera neck s trap • Til t base (optional ) • USB.

4 Changin g the C amera Face Panel Y ou can gi ve the VQ1 000 a new appearance by changing the front panel. The camer a comes with several cool-c olor faceplates that y ou can use i nterchangeably. F oll ow these ins tructi ons to change the faceplate.
5 Note: Be sure to dow nload y our images before changin g the facepl ate to avoid los ing your images or vid eo clip s. In ser ting a Batter y Follow these inst ructi ons to inser t or repla ce the battery in your camera: 1. Turn the camer a OF F. 2.

9 Camer a Ico ns and Desc riptio ns To selec t y our desi red setti ng, press the Pow er/Mode button to scr oll thro ugh the different modes. The ic ons will dis play in the status LCD. Pr ess the Shutter button to selec t a function while it is displ ay ed.

13 Capturing Str eaming Snapshots (Vi deo cl ips) 1. Press the Pow er /Mode button to turn the camera on. (Press and hold for about tw o seco nds.) 2. Press the Pow er /Mode button to scroll to the streamin g snapshot mode setting. Press the Shutte r Button to select this mode and return to the main sc reen.
14 Ou tdoor : U se w hen outdoor s . Press the Shutter button to make a s electio n and return to the main sc reen. 5. Frame yo ur s ubject i n the viewfinder. Press and hold the Shutter Button to capture streamin g snapshots. You w i ll hear continuous beeps as the image frames are rec orded.
15 Deleting Images and Videos The delete functi on allows y ou to dele te images or v ideo cl ips saved in the internal memory of yo ur c amera. Press the Pow er/Mode button to scr oll to Delete mode. Delete AL L images and Videos. Pr ess and hold dow n the Shu tt er button until y ou hear 2 beeps.

38 Is the camera connected to a computer? The camera buttons are not functional when connected to a PC. Disc onnect the camer a to capture more i mages. Use the TWAIN dri ver uti lity to capture an image w hi le connected to a PC. The images are blurr y .
