Mak e sure it is place d on a hard flat surfa ce (carpet is not recomme nded) with sufficient space between the product and other items.
ON button Press this button to turn on the unit. OFF button Press this button to turn the unit OFF . Always do this bef ore removing a V .DISC TM . V OLUME button Cont rol the v olume of a V .DISC TM , audio C D , or headphones. NEXT button Press this button to play the next track on an audio CD .
JO YST ICK Use this to control on-screen character mov ement, or scroll through men us on cer tain screens. 4 SELECTION buttons Use these buttons to choose answe rs in cer tain activities, or to perf orm cer tain game actions. HELP button Press this button to hear helpful hints in cer tain games.
NO TE: When the toy is not going to be in use f or an extended period of time, it is recommended to unplug the adaptor and remov e the adaptor from the Main Unit . Standard Guidelines f or Adaptor T oys: • Not f or use by children under 3 y ears of age.
CONNECTING T O A VCR If there is no video IN and audio IN terminal on y our TV set, y ou can conne ct V .FLASH TM to a VCR. - Connect the yellow plug on the V .FLASH TM cable to the yello w video input terminal on your VCR. - Connect the white and red plugs on the V .
T O BEGIN PLA Y • Make sure the unit is turned OFF . • Press the EJECT button to open the Main Unit co ver . • Place the V .DISC™ , label and printed side up, into the disc compartment and onto the center hub . • Close the Main Unit cov er .
NO TE : • If t h e Main Unit disc co ver is opened while the power is OFF , t h e V .DISC™ ma y still be spinning. If this happens, wait until the disc stops spinning bef ore removing it from the console.
A CCESSING THE MAIN MENU The Main Menu allow s you to create yo ur own setup , see inf ormation about the game y ou ha v e sa ve d, pla y an audio CD , and access info rmation stored on a Memor y Card if y ou hav e one inser ted into the unit.
V .FLASH TM MEMOR Y CARD MANA GEMENT NO TE: A V .FLASH TM MEMOR Y CARD is required to sav e inf or mation. (Sold separately) F rom the Main Men u Screen, go to the Memor y Card Screen b y pushing the jo ystick right to the 1st icon on the top row of the Main Menu.
V .FLASH TM CD Play er F rom the Main Menu Screen, go to the V .FLASH™ CD Player Screen b y selecting the 4th icon of the top row of the Main Menu. Mov e the joystic k to the left or r ight and then press the green button to pla y , pause, stop , rewind t the current CD track or pla y the next trac k.
V .FLASH TM Media Play er F rom the Main Menu Screen, go to the V .FLASH TM Media Play er Screen by selecting the 3rd icon of the top ro w of the Main Menu. Y ou will enter a general Media Pla yer Screen first. Move the jo ystick up or down to highlight a media track and then press the green button to select it.
CARE & MAINTENANCE 1. Keep your V .FLASH TM clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth . Never use solvents or abrasives. 2. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from direct sources of heat. 3. Unplug the adaptor and remove the adaptor from the Mai n Un it wh en not us ing it fo r an e xtended pe roid of time .
