Connecting your Switch to another Switch 1. Connect a Category 5e or 6 cable between one of the numbered ports on the front of the Switch and one of the numbered ports on the other Switch to which you are cascading or connecting.
This Switch segments your network, significantly increasing both bandwidth and throughput. Each port on the Switch can be attached to any Ether net, Fast Ether net, or Gigabit Ethernet device, such as another switch or a server’ s network adapter .
