P LUGGING I N THE S PRA YER 1. Check that the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position. 2. Plug the sprayer into a heavy duty grounded extension cord. Refer to Important Electrical Information, page 3). P RESSURE R ELIEF P ROCEDURE Be sure to follow the pressure relief procedure (page 6) when shutting the unit off FOR ANY PURPOSE.

P RACTICE Be sure that the paint hose is free of kinks and clear of objects with sharp cutting edges. 1. Switch the pump ON (l) and turn the PRIME/SPRA Y knob to SPRA Y . 2. T urn the pressure contol dial to its highest setting (+). The spray hose should stiffen as paint begins to flow through it.

I MPORT ANT C LEANING N OTES ! R EAD T HESE N OTES AND W ARNINGS B EFORE Y OU S T ART TO C LEAN Y OUR S PRA YER ! • When using latex paints, clean your sprayer and components using warm, soapy water . When using oil-based paints, use mineral spirits.

S HORT -T ERM S T ORAGE ( UP T O 16 HOURS ) S HUTDOWN 1. Lock the spray gun off. 2. T urn the PRIME/SPRA Y knob to PRIME. 3. Switch the pump OFF , and unplug the sprayer . 4. Pour 1/2 cup water slowly on the top of the paint to prevent the paint from drying.

Follow the cleaning procedures in this manual. E XTENDED M AINTENANCE Some pump parts eventually wear out from use and must be replaced.

The sprayer starts but does not draw in paint when the PRIME/SPRA Y knob is set to PRIME. C. The sprayer draws up paint but the pressure drops when the gun is triggered.
