With the Weber ® gas barbecue y ou can grill, barbecue, roast and bak e with results that are difficult to duplicate with indoor kitchen appliances. The closed lid and Flav orizer ® bars produce that “outdoor” flav or in the f ood.

C-1 Gas Instructions Install Gas Supply General Specifications for Piping Note - Contact your local m unicipality for b uilding codes regulating outdoor gas barbecue installations. In absence of Local Codes, y ou must confirm to the latest edition of ANSI Z223.
C-2 Gas Instructions (1) (1) (2) (2) a b Connect Gas Suppl y a) T o connect gas hose at the supply: Slide bac k the collar of the quick disconnect. Push male fitting of the hose into the quick disconnect, and maintain pressure(1). Slide the collar closed(2).
C-3 Gas Instructions W ARNING : The gas connections of your Summit ® gas grill have been factory tested. We do ho wever recommend that y ou leak check all gas connections before operating y our Summit ® gas grill. Remove contr ol panel P ar t required: Phillips Screwdriver .

D-2 Oper ating Instructions Indirect cooking The Indirect Method is similar to roasting, b ut with the added benefits of that grilled texture , flav or , and appearance you can ’ t get from an o ven. T o set up f or Indirect cooking, gas burners are lit on either side of the f ood but not directly beneath it.
D-3 Oper ating Instructions 1) Open the lid. 2) Mak e sure all burner control knobs are tur ned OFF . (Push each burner control knob down and turn clockwise to ensure that the y are in the off position.) 3) T ur n the gas supply valv e on. W ARNING: Do not lean over the open grill while lighting.

D-6 Main Burner T r oubleshooting Pr oblem Check Cure Burners b urn with a yellow or orange flame, in conjunction with the smell of gas. Inspect W eber ® Insect/Spider Screens f or possible obstructions. (Blockage of holes .) Clean W eber ® Insect/Spider Screens.
D-7 Pr oblem Check Cure Side Burner does not light. Flame is low in HIGH position. Push button ignition does not work. Is gas supply off? T ur n supply on. Is the fuel hose bent or kink ed? Straighten hose . Does burner light with a match? If match lights b ur ner , checkigniter (see below).
E-1 Maintenance (1) (1) Main Burner Flame P attern The W eber ® gas barbecue burners hav e been factory set f or the correct air and gas mixture. The correct flame pattern is shown.
E-2 Maintenance Replacing Main Burners 1. Y our Summit ® gas grill must be OFF and cool. 2. T ur n gas OFF at source. 3. Disconnect regulator . 4. Remov e cooking grates . 5. Remov e Smoker bo x. 6. Remov e Flav orizer ® bars. 7. T o remov e control panel refer to “Remove the control panel” under “Chec k for Gas Leaks .
E-3 Maintenance 10. Disconnect the flexib le manif old from the manifold. 11. Remov e screws from the manif old assembly: (a) Locate the screws on both sides of the manif old frame.
E-4 Maintenance (a) (b) (b) 12. Pull manifold assemb ly out from the manifold fr ame. 13. Lift and twist the burner assembly slightly , to separate the Crossov er ® tube (a) from the burners (b). 14. Remov e the Crossov er ® tube. 15. Pull the selected burner(s) tube(s) from manifold fr ame and replace with a ne w bur ner tube.
E-5 Maintenance Cr ossover ® Ignition System Operations If the Crossov er ® ignition system f ails to ignite the LEFT burner in a burner set, light the LEFT burner with a match. If the LEFT burner lights with a match, then check the Crossov er ® ignition system.
