A-5 General Instructions Y our W eber Gas Barbecue is a por table outdoor cooking appliance. With the Weber Gas Barbecue you can grill, barbecue, roast and bake with results that are difficult to duplicate with indoor kitchen appliances. The closed lid and Flavorizer® Bars produce that “outdoor” flavor in the food.

B-1 Assemb l y Instructions W E B E R W E B E R (1) (2) Assemble wheel frame Y ou will need: axle rod, two wheel hubcaps, tw o wheels, wheel fr ame, hammer and a b lock of wood. Place one end of the axle rod on the bloc k of wood (or other protected surf ace).
B-2 (1) Complete frame assembl y Y ou will need: par tial frame assembly , two frame connectors, f our 2 inch bolts, f our nylon washers and a 7/16 inch or adjustab le wrench. Hold one frame connector between the caster frame and wheel frame. Add the nylon w asher to the bolt.
B-3 (1) (2) (1) (2) (3) Add cooking bo x (assembly) Y ou will need: frame assembly , cooking bo x (assembly), 2 inch bolt, n ylon washer , keps n ut, pliers and a 7/16 inch or adjustable wrench. Uncoil the hose. Place the cooking bo x (assembly) in the fr ame assembly so the b ur ner tubes(1) are under the frame brace(2).
B-4 (2) (1) (1) (1) (2) Add fuel gauge Y ou will need: fuel gauge, two wing nuts and tw o nylon washers . 1) Slip the bolts on the back of the fuel gauge through the two small holes in the cylinder panel. 2) Add washers to the bolts , then wing nuts, and tighten with your fingers .
B-5 (1) (2) (3) Install igniter Note - The igniter wires are already attached to the Gas Catcher Ignition Chamber and the igniter . This was done to f actor y test the ignition system. The igniter lock n ut is on the igniter . 1) Loosen the igniter lock n ut.
B-6 (1) (2) Install Lid Y ou will need: lid, two hair pin cotters(1) and two hinge pins(2). Place lid on top of the cooking bo x. Align the hinges at the rear of the barbecue. Inser t hinge pins through the hinges from the outside. Insert hair pin cotters into the small holes in the hinge pins.
C-1 Installing Features Install the right trim piece with tool holders Y ou will need: Right tr im piece with tool holders Push the Right trim piece into the frame as shown(1), making sure that the tabs on the underside of the trim piece are snapped into the slots in the frame.
C-2 3.) Insert one end of the swing-up work surface rod into the hole in the frame. 4.) While holding swing-up work surface in position, insert the other end of the swing-up work surface rod into the left end trim piece. Push the trim piece into the frame.
C-3 (1) Install the work surface Y ou will need: work surface . Place the work surface, so that the front and back edges fit over the frame, in the area between the left trim piece and the cooking box as shown. Do not use the work surface as a cutting boar d.
C-4 (1) Install Flav orizer® Bars and Cooking Grates Y ou will need: five Fla v or izer Bars and tw o cooking grates . Place the Flavorizer Bars side by side in the cooking box. Set the cooking grates onto the ledges in the cooking box with the rounded sides up.
C-5 Install the bottom shelf Y ou will need: Bottom shelf. Set the bottom shelf in place between the two frame connectors underneath the cooking box. Install the thermometer Y ou will need: Ther mometer . Insert the thermometer into its holder on the right side of the lid.
C-6 Fill liquid pr opane cylinder Note - The liquid propane cylinder manuf acturer is responsib le for the materials , workmanship and perf ormance of the cylinder . If the cylinder has a def ect, malfunctions, or you ha ve a question regarding the cylinder , call the cylinder manuf acturer ’ s customer ser vice center .
C-7 Check f or gas leaks D ANGER Do not use an open flame to chec k for gas leaks. Be sure there are no sparks or open flames in the area while y ou chec k for leaks. Sparks or open flames will result in a fire or explosion, which can cause serious bodily injury or death and damage to pr oper ty .
D-1 Lighting Summar y lighting instructions are on the control panel. 1) Open the lid. 2) Make sure all b ur ner control knobs are turned OFF . (Push control knob down and turn clockwise to ensure that it is in the OFF position.
D-2 To Extinguish Push down and turn eac h burner contr ol knob cloc kwise to the OFF position. T urn gas supply OFF at the source. Manual Lighting *The grill illustrated ma y ha ve slight diff erences than the model purchased.
D-3 Lighting the Side Burner The side burner has a separate ignition system from the main cooking bo x. W ARNING: If the side burner does not light: 1) T urn OFF the side burner control v alve . 2) Wait 5 minutes to let the gas c lear before y ou try again or try to light with a match.
D-4 Cooking W ARNING: Do not mo ve the Weber Gas Barbecue when operating or while barbecue is hot. Y ou can adjust the FRONT and BA CK bur ners as desired. The control settings: High (H), Medium (M), Low (L), or Off (O) are described in your W eber cookbook.
D-5 Refilling the Liquid Pr opane Cylinder W e recommend that you refill the LP cylinder bef ore it is completely empty . Remov al of the LP cylinder 1) Close cylinder valv e (tur n cloc kwise). 2) Unscrew regulator coupling b y tur ning counterclockwise , by hand only .
D-6 Y ou will need: LP cylinder , a soap and water solution and a rag or brush to apply it. 1) T ur n the LP cylinder so the opening of the valv e is either to the front, side or rear of the Weber Gas Barbecue. Lift and hook the cylinder onto the fuel gauge.
D-7 Safe handling tips f or Liquid Pr opane Gas Cylinder s ■ Liquid Propane (LP) gas is a petroleum product as are gasoline and natural gas. LP gas is a gas at regular temperatures and pressures. Under moderate pressure, inside a cylinder , LP gas is a liquid.
D-8 Annual Maintenance After a period of nonuse, we recommend that y ou perf orm the following maintenance procedures f or your saf ety . W ARNING: Check the hose bef ore each use of the barbecue for nic ks, cracking, abrasions or cuts. If the hose is found to be damaged in an y way , do not use the barbecue.
D-9 General Maintenance Weber Spider /Insect screens Y our W eber Gas Barbecue, as well as any outdoor gas appliance, is a target f or spiders and other insects. They can nest in the v entur i section(1) of the b ur ner tubes. This blocks the normal gas flow , and can cause the gas to flow bac k out of the air shutter.
D-10 (2) (1) (1) Replacing Main Burners 1) Y our W eber Gas Barbecue must be OFF and cool. 2) T urn gas OFF at source. 3) T o remov e control panel: take off the burner control knobs. Remov e the screws holding the control panel in place. Lift off the control panel.
D-11 Cr ossover ® Ignition System Operations If the Crossov er Ignition System fails to ignite the Left burner , light the Left burner with a match. If the Left burner lights with a match, then check the Crossov er Ignition System. ■ Check that both the white(1) and b lack(2) ignition wires are attached properly .
D-12 T r oubleshooting Pr oblem Chec k Cure Burners b urn with a yello w or orange flame, in conjunction with the smell of gas. Inspect Spider/Insect Screens for possible obstructions. (Blockage of holes.) Clean Spider/Insect Screens. (See Section “ Annual Maintenance ” ) Burners do not light.
D-13 Side Burner T r oubleshooting Pr oblem Chec k Cure Side Burner does not light. Flame is low in HIGH position. Flame is very yellow in conjunction with the smell of gas, OR Burner makes popping noise in conjunction with the smell of gas. Push button ignition does not work.
1 Assemb l y Instructions Install manif old bracket Y ou will need: manifold brac ket Hook the bracket(2) onto the manifold at the center burner valve. Place your hand underneath the bracket. Lift the manifold and cooking box slightly , then hook the tab of the bracket on the frame brace(1).
