With the W eber Gas Barbecue you can grill, barbecue, roast and bake with results that are difficult to duplicate with indoor kitchen appliances. B-1 Assemb l y Instructions W E B E R W E B E R (1) (2) Assemble wheel frame Y ou will need: axle rod, two wheel hubcaps, tw o wheels, wheel fr ame, hammer and a b lock of wood. Place one end of the axle rod on the block of wood (or other protected surface).
B-2 (1) Continue frame assembl y Y ou will need: caster frame, wheel fr ame, f our 1/2 inch bolts, f our nylon washers and a 7/16 inch or adjustab le wrench. Place the caster frame onto the tabs of the left frame, so that the swing table locking latch(1) is to the rear .
B-3 (1) (2) Insert casters Y ou will need: frame assembly and tw o casters. Push the casters firmly into the inserts in the ends of the caster frame. Add Wrap-around Frame P anel Y ou will need: wrap around frame panel and a wrench. Place wrap-around frame panel in place: 1) The cut-out tabs should fit between the washer and the frame, as shown.

Uncoil the hose. Place the cooking box (assembly) in the frame assembly so the burner tubes(1) are under the frame brace(2).
B-5 (1) (2) Install manifold brac kets The manif old brac kets(2) are already in place on the manif old between the valv es. Place your hand underneath the manifold. Lift the manifold and cooking box slightly and hook the manifold bracket(2) onto the frame brace(1).
B-6 (1) (2) (1) (2) (3) Add fuel gauge Y ou will need: fuel gauge, two wing n uts and two n ylon washers . 1) Slip the bolts on the back of the fuel gauge through the two small holes in the cylinder panel. 2) Add washers to the bolts, then wing nuts, and tighten with your fingers.

If the cylinder has a def ect, malfunctions, or you ha v e a question regarding the cylinder , call the cylinder manuf acturer’ s customer ser vice center .
B-8 Chec k for gas leaks D ANGER Do not use an open flame to chec k for gas leaks. Be sure there are no sparks or open flames in the area while y ou check f or leaks. Sparks or open flames will result in a fire or explosion whic h can cause serious bodily injury or death and damage to pr oper ty .
B-9 (1) (2) (1) (1) Install the slide out bottom tray Y ou will need: the slide out bottom tra y(1), catch pan holder(2), catch pan and one disposable drip pan. Hook the ends of the catch pan holder into the hole in the slide out bottom tray . The fr ont of the catch pan holder must be on the same side as the finger grip(1) of the bottom tra y .
B-10 (1) (2) (1) (2) (3) Install Lid Y ou will need: lid, two hair pin cotters(1) and two hinge pins(2). Place lid on top of the cooking box. Align the hinges at the rear of the barbecue. Insert hinge pins through the hinges from the outside. Insert hair pin cotters into the small holes in the hinge pins.
C-1 Installing Features Install the right trim piece with tool holders Y ou will need: Right tr im piece with tool holders Push the Right trim piece into the frame as shown(1), making sure that the tabs on the underside of the trim piece are snapped into the slots in the frame.
C-2 4.) While holding swing-up work surface in position, insert the other end of the swing-up work surface rod into the left end trim piece. Push the trim piece into the frame. 5.) Add a washer to each bolt and insert it through the hole in the frame and the hole in the trim piece on both sides.

Cast Ir on Cooking Grates Care Instructions W ARNING: Follow all safety instructions pro vided with your barbecue. Do not drop cast iron grates, they will break. First Time Use - W ash thoroughly with a mild dishwashing liquid to remove the wax coating used for protection in shipping.

D-4 Refilling the Liquid Pr opane Cylinder We recommend that you refill the LP cylinder before it is completely empty . Remov al of the LP cylinder 1) Close cylinder valve (turn clockwise). 2) Unscrew regulator coupling by turning counterclockwise, by hand only .
D-5 Connecting the Liquid Propane Cylinder W ARNING: Make sure that the LP c ylinder valve is closed. Close b y turning valve c lockwise. D ANGER Liquid Propane Cylinder The liquid propane cylinder manufacturer is responsible for the materials, workmanship and performance of the tank.
D-6 Safe handling tips f or Liquid Pr opane Gas Cylinder s ■ Liquid Propane (LP) gas is a petroleum product as are gasoline and natural gas. LP gas is a gas at regular temperatures and pressures. Under moderate pressure, inside a cylinder , LP gas is a liquid.
D-7 Annual Maintenance After a period of nonuse, we recommend that you perform the following maintenance procedures for your safety . W ARNING: Chec k the hose before each use of the barbecue for nic ks, cracking, abrasions or cuts. If the hose is found to be damaged in an y way , do not use the barbecue.
D-8 General Maintenance Weber Spider /Insect screens Y our Weber Gas Barbecue, as well as any outdoor gas appliance, is a target for spiders and other insects. They can nest in the venturi section V enturi(1). This blocks the normal gas flow , and can cause the gas to flow back out of the air shutter .
D-9 (2) (1) (1) (1) (2) (1) Replacing Main Burners 1) Y our Weber Gas Barbecue must be OFF and cool. 2) T urn gas OFF at source. 3) T o remove control panel: take off the burner control knobs. Remove the screws holding the control panel in place. Lift off the control panel.
D-10 Cr osso ver ® Ignition System Operations If the Crossover Ignition System fails to ignite the Left burner , light the Left burner with a match. If the Left burner lights with a match, then check the Crossover Ignition System. ■ Check that both the white(1) and black(2) ignition wires are attached properly .
T r oubleshooting Pr oblem Chec k Cure Burners b urn with a yello w or orange flame, in conjunction with the smell of gas. Inspect W eber Spider/Insect Screens for possible obstructions. (Blockage of holes.) Clean Weber Spider/Insect Screens. (See Section “ Annual Maintenance ” ) Burners do not light.
