1 5. Do not perform exercises with the hand weights at speeds faster than a walk. Using weights and not holding the handrails may compromise your ability to maintain your b alance. Exercises using weights should be a ttempted only by experienced users.
T hank you for selecting the WESLO ® C ADENCE 215S t readmill. The CADENCE 215S combines advanced technology with innovative design to let you enjoy an excellent form of cardiovascular exercise in the conve- nience and privacy of your home.
1. With the help of a second person, carefully raise the Uprights (11) until the treadmill is in the position shown. 11 1 ASSEMBL Y Assembly requires two people. Set the treadmill in a cleared area and remove all packing materials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed.
6. Attach the Storage Latch (14) to the left Upright (11) with two Screws (33). Be careful not to overtighten the Screws. Place the two 3-lb. Weights (79) in the center of the Weight Rack (90). Next, place the 2-lb. Weights and the 1-lb. Weights (not shown) in the Weight Rac k.
7 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PERFORMANT LUBE TM WALKING BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with PERFORMANT LUBE TM ,a high-performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply silicone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking plat- form.
BATTERY INSTALLATION The console requires three "AA" batteries (not in- cluded). Alkaline batteries are recommended. To in - stall batt eries, open the battery cover as shown at the right. Press the ba tterie s into the battery compartment, with the negative (–) ends of the batteries touching the springs.
Insert the key fully into the power switch. N ote: Inserting the key will not turn on the dis- plays. The displays will turn on when the O N/RESET button is pressed or when the walking belt is started. If you just installed batteries, the displays will already be on.
HOW T O FOLD AND MOVE THE TREADMILL HOW TO FOLD THE TREADMILL FOR STORAGE Before folding the treadmill, unplug the power cord. CAUTION: You must be able to safely lift 20 kg (45 lbs.) in order to raise, lower, or move the treadmill. 1. Hold the treadmill with your hands in the locations shown at the right.
2. Move your right hand to the position shown and hold the treadmill firmly. Raise the treadmill until the storage latch c loses over the catch. M ake sure that the storage latch is fully engaged over the catch. To protect the floor or carpet from damage, place a mat under the treadmill.
MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLE-SHOOTING Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. 4. SYMPTOM: THE WALKING BELT SLOWS WHEN WALKED ON a. Use only a UL-listed surge suppressor, rated at 15 amps, with a 14-gauge cord of 1.5 m (5 ft.) or less in length. b. If the walking belt is overtightened, treadmill performance may decrease and the walking belt may be permanently damaged.
