5 Y our Audio/ Video Source Components ScreenCast A V is designed specifically for products enabled with HDMI technology like Blu- ray d isc players, gaming systems , and cable or sat ellite receivers. At this time, Scree nCast A V does no t support analog products with component or compos ite connections lik e VC Rs or some D VD play ers.

7 GENERAL INFORMA TION Controlling Y our Video Sources There are t wo options for controlling the A V source products connecte dtot heScreenC astA Vs ystem :HDMI-CE CandI R. These approaches can be used in conjuncti on with one another , or you can use IR alone.
8 GENERAL INFORMA TION HDM I - CEC HDM I - CEC is a re la ti vel y new s ta nd ar d th at al low s for de vi ce s connected to one another via HDMI t o interact and control one another . In this v ersion of ScreenCast we hav e implemented limited HDMI- CECfunctionalityto simple“standby”commands.

Then route the four ends to the front of your video sources. These will relay remo te control commands from the Scr eenCast re ce ive r.

14 SCREENCAST A V SET TINGS Renaming One Video Source If you decide to just rename one source , that source wi ll be shown and you can choose a usefu l name from the list of common source names.
15 SCREENCAST A V SET TINGS Naming/Renaming T ransmitters ScreenCast A V can support up to eight transmitters. So in addition to the 4- port A V transmitter that came with this product, you might add o ther ScreenCast A V transmitters. For example, you might have a transmitter for your laptop , and another one for a tablet.
Adding/Deleting a T ransmitter Sc re en Ca st AV is pa r t of t h e WHD I ™ family , so it is possible to connect a v ariet y of o ther ScreenCast transmitters to y our ScreenCast A V receiver . Some of those transmitters have a single video source , while others hav e multiple sources.

19 SCREENCAST A V SET TINGS T urning Wirel ess On /Of f There are ver y fe w situations where this would ev er be necessary. If the wireless is turned of f, ScreenCast A V will not communicate with any transmit ters and video will not sho w.
