Entering Selectable Features Mode 1. W ith the unit OFF , press and hold the PWR and CTY but tons simult aneously . The wor d “ F F E E A A T T U U R R E E S S ” will appear in the display , follo wed b y the status of the fir st Selectable F eatur e.
1. Consider occupant safet y when selecting a mounting location. Choose a location wher e the unit will not be hazardous in ca se of an accident. 2. F or optimum det ection, position your unit with a clear , unobstructed vie w of the road fr om the fr ont and rear .
5. T o adjust the angle of the br acket, squeeze and hold the circular “but t ons” on the sides of the br acket; this will allo w y ou to angle the br ack et to y our windshield. Note—some v ehicles have a plastic coating on the inside of the windshield designed t o prot ect occupants in case of an accident.

Safet y W arning Syst em ® (SWS ™ )—What is it? The Radio Associa tion Defending Airw av e Rights, Inc. (R.A.D.A.R.) conceived and de veloped the Safe ty W arning Sy stem ® .

Instant -On/Pulsed Radar This t ype of signal appears suddenly when a R adar unit is “triggered” . The instant -on alert consists of an intense, thr ee second audio “bur st” , coupled with the t ype of band detect ed, signal str ength digit 1-9 (V9 6 0 only) and flashing of the signal strength bar gr aph in the display .
