4 Getting started 1. Getting star ted Y our FP241W w ill provide the optimal display pe rformance of the video resol ution standard of 1920 x 1200. Please ensure that y our graphic card suppor ts the resolution of 1920 x 1200. W hen unpacking please check y ou ha v e the follow ing items.

10 How to assemble your monitor hardware 4. Connect the PC video cable. Do not use both DVI-D cable and D-Sub cable on the same PC. The only case in which both cabl es can be used is if they are connec ted to two dif ferent PCs with appropriate video systems.

24 How to adjust the screen resolution 5. H ow t o adjust the scree n resolutio n Due to the nature of liquid crystal display (L CD) technology , the screen resolution is al ways fix ed. The best possible picture for y our FP241W is achieved with a resolution of 1920 x 1200.

H ow t o adjust the screen refr esh r at e Y ou don ’t ha ve to ch oose the hig hest possible refr esh ra te on an L CD display , because it is not technically possible for an L CD display t o flick er . The best results are obtained by using the factor y modes already set in y our computer .

36 How to adjust your monitor U ser Mode T ailors the image color tint. The blend of the Red, Green and B lue pr imary colo rs can be alter e d to change the color tint of the image. The default start setting is 50. Decreasing one or more of the c olors will reduce their respectiv e influence on the color tint of the image.
