IMPORT ANT : Child entrapment and suffocation are not problems of the past. Junked or abandoned r efrigerators are still danger ous.

6 I NST ALLING Y OUR R EFRIGERA TOR It is important to prepar e your refrigerator for use. This section tells you how to clean it, install it, connect it t o a power source, and level it.
7 E LECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS Before you move your r efrigerator into its final location, it is important to make sure you have the pr oper electrical connection. Recommended Grounding Method A 1 15 V olt/60 Hz AC only 15 to 20 ampere fused and properly grounded electrical supply is required.
8 D OOR CLOSING AND ALIGNMENT Door Closing Y our r efrigerator has 2 front adjustable rollers - one on the right and one on the left. If your refrigerator seems unsteady or you want the doors to close easier , adjust the refrigerator ’ s tilt using the instructions below: 1.
9 U SING Y OUR R EFRIGERA TOR S ETTING THE CONTROL The control for the r efrigerator and freezer is located in the top of the refrigerator section. It contr ols the temperature in both the refrigerator and fr eezer compartments. When you first install your refrigerator , set the T emperatur e Control to 3 (normal) .
10 E NSURING PROPER AIR CIRCULA TION In order to ensur e proper temperatures, you need to permit air flow between the two sections. As shown in the illustration, cool air enters through the bottom of the freezer section (1) and moves up. Most of the air then flows through the fr eezer section vents (2) and recirculates under the freezer floor (3) .
A DJUSTING THE REFRIGERA TOR SHEL VES 11 T o remove the shelves: 1. Remove items from the shelf. 2. Slide shelf straight out to the stop. 3. Depending on your model, lift the back or front of the shelf over the stop. 4. Slide shelf out the rest of the way .

15 U NDERST ANDING THE SOUNDS Y OU MA Y HEAR Y our new refrigerator may make sounds that your old one didn ’ t. Because the sounds are new to you, you might be concerned about them. Don ’ t be. Most of the new sounds are normal. Hard surfaces like the floor , walls, and cabinets can make the sounds seem louder .

S TORING FROZEN FOOD The freezer section is designed for storing commercially fr ozen food and for freezing food at home. NOTE: For further information about preparing food for freezing or food storage times, check a fr eezer guide or reliable cookbook.
