INTRODUCTION Dear Whistler Owner , Whistler has developed a complete and comprehensive laser -radar solution for “TUNERS”. This unit allows laser -radar protection that complements other automotive gauges installed in the vehicle.

OPERA TION 5 WHISTLER FEA TURES—OPERA TION • Programmable Blue Backlit T ext Display - Create your own custom 10 character text display . The easy to read provides distin ct visua l confirm ation of signals detected, signal str ength, and in dicate s engaged modes of operation.
OPERA TION 7 OPERA TION 6 Ice W arning Mode: When temperature dr ops to 32˚F display shows: Ice W arning Mode Unit then gives a unique warning tone and the backlight will flash. This will only happen once after the unit is first turned on. When either Hi T or Lo T is displayed, the limits of the temperature sensor have been r eached.

OPERA TION 15 OPERA TION 14 Aux Out Three options can be used with this unit; LED output, T one output and V oice output (included). LED - The LED will flash to indicated signal detection. The faster the flash rate, the stronger or closer the laser/radar signal will be.
SAFETY RADAR-LASER ALERTS 17 RADAR ALERT 16 Speed Radar Audio/Visual Alerts When X, K or Ka is detected, the band ID and signal strength is displayed. The audio alert is continuous and has a geiger counter -like pattern. The faster the beep, or the flash of the LED,the closer or stronger the radar source.
RESET FEA TURES/CARE & MAINTENANCE Reset Features All user features can be r eset to factory settings. • Remove Power from unit. • Press and hold P/V and Quiet. • Apply power to the unit. • W ait for display to show “Factory Reset”. • Release P/V and Quiet.

SPEED MONITORING TECHNOLOGIES can cover more than a four -lane highway at a distance of 1,000 feet, compared with a laser transmission which covers about 3 feet at the same distance. For best protection, keep these points in mind: • Do not follow closely behind any vehicle you cannot see through.
