T roubles hooting R e fere nce 37 T able 4 T roubleshooting re ference Problem P o ssible Cause Solution AC appliance will not operate; the audible alarm is not soundi ng. AC appliance rated more than 250 watts , the safety over load has tripped. AC appliance is rated less tha n 250 watt s, high start ing su rg e has tripped the safety overload.
T roubles hooting R eference 38 Measured output v oltage is too low . Use of an average-reading, AC voltmeter to read output vo ltage. Battery is almost fully dischar ged. The modif ied sinewave (MSW) output o f the XPower Powerpack requires a true RMS reading m eter , such as the Fluke 87 series, for accurate measuremen t.
T roubles hooting R e fere nce 39 Extreme overload, 40 amp external fuse opens . Appliance power requirements gr eatly exceed the capability of the XPower Powerpack. Replace the fuse with a 40 A, 32 VDC automotive blade-type f use which is available at many automotive parts stor es.
T roubles hooting R eference 40 Recharge light is still amber and not green afte r 40 hou rs of char ging. The voltage at the AC wall outlet is less than 120 volts AC. Continue to char ge the XPower Powerpack fo r another 15 hours . The battery will be fully charged even if the Recharge light is still amber .
