A scan progress window opens and then a thumbnail of the scanned image appears in the destin ation software. In the following example, the destination sof tware is the PaperPort desktop.

In the following figure, the button is set to scan with the configuration named Scan Document (Fax Quality) and then open PaperPort to display the scanned image.

Th e highlight is the lightest spot on an image; shadow is the da rkest spot. The range of colors between the highligh t and shadow determines the range of colors of the image.

However , with the Curves feature you can set the gamma individually to adjust mid tone levels without losing det ails from the lightest or darkest areas.

Y ou can change the time before the scanner powers down , from 15 to a maximum of 180 minutes.
