Basic setup 22 En The “B ASIC SETUP” feature is a u seful way to se t up your system quickly and with minimal ef fort. • Make sure you discon nect your headphones from this unit. • If you wish to configure this unit manua lly using mo re precise adjustments, use the detailed parameters in “SOUND MENU” (see page 45).

32 En Playback ■ Adjusting speaker le vels during playbac k Y ou can adjust the output lev el of each speaker while listening to a music source. This operation will override the le vel adjustment made in “SP LEVEL” (see page 46). 1 Press 4 AMP and then press 6 LEVEL repeatedly to select the speaker you want to adjust.

SOUND FIELD PROGRAMS 34 En This unit is equip ped with a v ariety of precise digital decoders that allow you to en joy multi-channel playback from almost any stereo or multi-channel sound source. Press K PR OGRAM l / h (or press 4 AM P and then press 0 PROG l / h repe atedly).

FM/AM TUNING 37 En English BA S I C OPERA TION There are 2 tuning methods: automatic a nd manual. Automatic tuning is effecti v e when station signa ls are strong and there is no interference. If the signal from th e station you want to select is weak, t une into it manually .
38 En FM/AM tuning Y ou can use the automa tic pres et tuning feature to store FM stations with strong signals up to 40 (A1 to E8: 8 preset station numbers in ea ch of the 5 preset station groups) of those stations in order . Y ou can then recall any preset statio n easily by sele cting the preset station number .

USING BLUETOOTH™ COMPONENTS 41 En English BA S I C OPERA TION Y ou can connect a Y amaha Bluetooth adap ter (such as YB A-10, sold separ ately) to the DOCK terminal of this unit and enjoy the music contents stored in y our Bluetooth component (such as a porta ble music player) wi thout wir ing between this unit and the Bluetooth component.
RECORDING 42 En Recording adjustments and ot her operations are performed from the reco rding components. Re fer to the operating instructions for those components. • When this unit is set to the standby mode, you cannot r ecord between other componen ts connected to this unit.

Change the initial settings (indicated in bold unde r each parameter) to reflect the needs of you r listening en vironment.
