2 En Before ass embly a nd connec ting, m ake sure you have receive d all of the f ollowing items. 1 Indicators Light up to show the system c ondition.( ☞ P. 11) y The indicators automatically become dark er if the unit i s left turned on for 5 seconds without any operation being performed.
3 En English Installation: illustrated examples Example 1 : Unit beneath TV Example 2: Unit without stand beneath TV ( ☞ P. 9) Example 3: W all mounti ng • Do not place the unit on/und er any other components such as BD player in a pile. The vibration of the uni t may cause system failure, etc.
4 En • Do not connect the p ower cable until all connec tions are completed . • Do not use exces sive fo rce when inserting the ca ble p lug. Doing so ma y damage the cable p lug and/or terminal. As connectio ns are completed , set your TV as below before ope ration.
Connect ion 5 En English y Alternative connections Refer to “Us ing an e xternal su bwoofer” ( ☞ P. 8) for details on the use of an ext ernal subwoo fer and appropria te setting s of the unit.
6 En Once you have fini shed all cable conn ections and rem ote control operation, follow the procedure belo w to start basic playback ope ration . 1 (P ower): Turns on the unit, or sets it to standby mode. 2 Input button s: Select the inp ut sourc e you want to li sten to .
Enjoying so und wi th your p referenc e 7 En English 1 T urn y our TV on. 2 P ress the TV button to swit ch the input of the unit to “ TV.” The unit plays the TV sound. The IN PUT indi cator li ghts up i n green. ( ☞ P . 11) 3 Sw itch the input of your T V if you use components such as a BD player.
Additi onal In form ation 8 En Press VOLUME +/– to adjust the volume level. The color of q D DTS indicator changes dependi ng on the adjust able ran ge. Green ind icate s a lower volume level, o range a moder ate lev el, and red a hi gher lev el. Note that when the q D DTS indicator is red, the volume is set to a h igher level.
Additional Infor mation 9 En English TV remote contr ol operati on may be diff icult if the unit hides the sensor of you r TV when beneath or under the TV. Try t he tw o solution s below and see whether this solves the p robl em. 1 Move the u nit in all di rections.
Additi onal In form ation 10 En 3 Pr ess the button below of the main unit to select the opera tion you want the unit to learn. 4 Point your TV r emote c ontr ol at the remote control senso r and press the respective butto n twice or t hree times until the indicator changes from flashing green to lit green.
11 En English Immediat ely after tu rning on the u nit, the ind icator s show the stat e of the unit as belo w. The indicat ors show the sett ing mode as below .
12 En Refer to th e chart below should the unit not f unction prope rly. If the problem you are experi encing is not l isted below, or if the instruc tion below does not help, set the unit to the standby mod e, disconnect the AC power supply c able, and contact the nea rest authori zed Yama ha deal er or service center.
