Check their proper operation regularly. • After s triking a foreign object, stop the engine, remove the wire from the spark plug, and thoroughly inspect the mower for any damage.

7 SECTION 3: ASSEMBLING YOUR LAWN MOWER Unpacking • Remove s taples, break glue on top flap s, or cut tape at cart on end and peel al ong top flap to op en carton. • Remove lo ose parts if in cluded wit h unit (i.e., owner ’ s m anual, e tc.). • Cut along c orners and la y carton down fl at.

11 WARNING: The thrott le control cannot b e used to stop t he engine. If your mowe r ’ s throttle control is located on the engine, do not adjust the throttle contr ol while the engine is running. Recoil Starter The recoil starter handle is attach ed to the han dle and is used to star t the engine.
