2 The symbols you will see on some paragraphs of this booklet have the following mean- ing: The warning triangle emphasize information that is particularly import ant for your safety or correct functioning of the appliance. The information marked with this symbol provides additional instructions and practi- cal tips on the use of the appliance.
3 Important safety information In the interest of your safety and to ensure the correct use, before inst alling and first using the appliance, read this user manual carefully , including it s hints and warnings.
4 Installation • This appliance is heavy . Care should be taken when moving it. • When unpackaging the appliance, check that it is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use it and contact the Service Centre. • All packing must be removed before use. Serious damage can occur to the product and to property if this is not adhered to.

8 Before loading the laundry Never tumble dry the following: Particularly delicate items such as net curtains, woollen, silk, fabrics with metal trim, nylon tight s, bulky materials such as anoraks, blan- kets, eiderdowns, sleeping bags, feather quilts and any items con- taining rubber foam or materials similar to rubber foam.

10 1. Load The Laundry Connect the appliance. Open the door (see picture). Place the laundry in the drum, one item at a time, shaking them out as much as possible. Close the door . Please check the laundry does not get caught between the door and filter .
11 St art/Pause Button Press this button to start the dryer af ter having selected the programme and the options. The rele- vant light will stop flashing. If the pro- gramme selector dial is turned to another position, when the machine is running, the buzzer will sound and the programme phase indicator lights will flash.
12 carefully check that the drum is empty . If you do not intend to carry out anoth- er wash, close the water tap. Leave the door open to prevent the formation of mildew and unpleasant smells. Af ter each use •Clean the filters (see page 13). •Empty the water reservoir (see page 15).
13 Import ant! Y ou must DISCONNECT the appliance from the electricity supply , before you can carry out any cleaning or maintenance work. External cleaning U se only soap and water and then dry thoroughly . Import ant: do not use methylated spir- it, diluents or similar product s.
14 Import ant! Do not use the appliance without fil- ters. Cleaning the condenser unit Clean the condenser when light “Condenser” comes on. The condenser is situated at the lower part of the cabinet behind a small door . T o open the door , push the catch as per picture.

Proceed as follows: • Open the small door at the lower part of the cabinet • T urn the yellow stop upwards • Pull out the reservoir • Open the small cover and let water flow down • Close the small cover and re-insert correctly the reservoir • Push it until it clicks and turn the yellow stop downwards to firmly lock it.
16 Something not working Certain problems are due to lack of simple maintenance or oversight s, which can be solved easily without calling out an engineer .
17 If you are unable to identify or solve the problem, contact our service centre. Before telephoning, make a note of the model, serial number and purchase date of your machine: the Service Centre will require this information.
