6 Ensure that you support the grill pan when it is in the withdra wn or partially withdra wn position. Ensure that all ve nts are left unobstructe d to ensure v entilation of the oven cavi ty. You mu st ensure that t he gril l control is in the ‘OFF’ position when the timer control has been set f or automatic cooking.

9 HOW TO FINISH UNPACKING · Place appl iance next to th e cabin et in which it will be instal led. · Remove the appl iance pack ing except for bottom tray wh ich shoul d be le ft in posi tion u ntil the applianc e is read y to be fitted into its c abinet.
10 · Lift cover and rem ove screw f rom c able clamp. See Fig. 5. CONNECTING TO MAINS TERMINAL Warning: This appliance must be earthed. · Make c onnection as s hown in F ig. 6 by proceed ing as foll ows:- · Preform wires to th e appropr iate shape to su it fitting int o the m ains term inal block .

Press the cook ing hour s button ( ) t hen turn ( - ) button u ntil 0 .00 is displa y ed as Fig.14. The AUTO sy m bol will no w flash and ac ts as a rem inder to reset the a ppliance t o manual.
19 8. LOCK FEATURE - MAIN OVEN ONLY To Lock The Oven Using The Timer Press and hold butto ns ( ) an d ( ) f or 3 - 8 seconds. 'On' will appe ar in the d isplay as F ig. 15. Turn the Decr ease/Increas e control c lock wise to change the displa y to 'Of'.
20 USES OF THE GR ILL CAUTION – A CCESSIBLE PARTS M A Y BECOM E HOT WHEN T HE GRILL IS IN USE. CHILDR EN SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY SELECTING THE GRILL · Select th e grill func tion. · Turn the top oven/ grill co ntrol k nob to the right as far as it will go.
21 HINTS AND TIPS · Most foods should be plac ed on the gr id in the grill p an to allo w max i m um circ ulation of air to lift the food out of the f ats and juices . Food suc h as fish, liver a nd kidne ys ma y be pl aced directl y on the gril l pan base if prefer red.
22 USES OF THE T OP OVEN The top oven is the s maller of the two ovens. It is designed f or cook ing smaller quantitie s of food. It gives especia lly good r esults if used to cook fruit c akes, s weets and savour y flans or q uiche. The top oven is also ideal for us e as warm ing com partment to warm dishes an d keep f ood hot.
23 THINGS TO NOTE 1. The top oven indicator n eon will glow un til the oven has r eached the des ired tem perature an d then go out. It will turn O N and OFF p eriodica lly during cook ing showing t hat the tem perature is being m aintained. 2. T he cooling fan for the contro ls ma y operat e, after a per iod of tim e.
24 USES OF THE FA N OVEN PREHE A TING The fan oven quic kly reaches its tem perature, so it is not usua lly neces sary to pre heat the o ven. W ithout preheati ng however, you ma y find you need to ad d an extra 5-10 minutes on the rec ommended c ooking tim es.
25 HINTS AND TIPS · Arrange the shelv es in the re quired positio ns before switc hing the oven ON. Shelf pos itions are num bered from the bottom up wards.
26 The oven temperatur es are int ended as a g uide onl y. It m ay be necessar y to inc rease or decreas e the temper atures by 10° C to suit ind ividual pref erences a nd requir ements.

28 USES OF DEFROST This main oven functi on defrosts m ost foods f aster than mor e convention al m ethods. It is particular ly suitable for delicate fro zen foods which are to be serve d cold , e.g. crea m f i lle d gate aux, cakes cov ered with icings or frostings, c heesecak es, bis cuits, scones, etc .
29 Care mus t be taken when ha ndling f oods in the home. Always follo w the bas ic rules of hygiene to prevent bac terial and m icrobial gr owth and c ross contam ination when, reheating, co oking, coo ling, defros ting and free zing foods :- 1.
