9 HOW TO FINISH UNPACKING · Place appl iance next to th e cabinet i n which it will be install ed. · Remove the applianc e packing except for bottom tra y which should be left in pos ition until the app liance is read y to be fitted into its cabinet.
10 · Lift cover and rem ove screw f rom c able clamp. See Fig. 5. CONNECTING TO MAINS TERMINAL Warning: This appliance must be earthed. · Make c onnection as s hown in Fig. 6 by proceed ing as foll ows:- · Preform wires to th e appropriate shape to suit fitting int o the m ains term inal block .

16 TO CANCEL THE COUNTDOWN If you change your m ind and want t o cancel th e 'Countdown', pr ess the S elector Con trol button until the 'Countdo wn' indica tor ( ) flashes a nd the n the decrease con trol ( - ) u ntil 0.00 sh ows in th e displa y as Fig.

20 HINTS AND TIPS · Most foods should be plac ed on th e grid in t he grill p an to allo w maxim um circ ulation of air to lift the food out of the f ats and juices . Food such as fish, liver a nd kidne ys ma y be placed dir ectly on the gril l pan base if preferr ed.
21 USES OF THE T OP OVEN The top oven is the s maller of the two ov ens. It is d esigned f or cooking s maller q uantities of food. It gives especia lly good r esults if used to cook fruit c akes, sweets an d savour y flans or q uiche. The top oven is also ideal for us e as warm ing com partment to warm dishes an d keep food h ot.
22 THINGS TO NOTE 1. The top oven indicator n eon will glow un til the oven has r eached the des ired tem perature an d then go out. It will turn O N and OFF p eriodicall y during cook ing showing t hat the tem perature is being m aintained. 2. The cooling f an for the co ntrols m ay operate, after a per iod of tim e.
23 USES OF THE FA N OVEN PREHE A TI NG The fan oven quic kly reaches its tem perature, so it is not usua lly necess ary to pre heat the oven . W ithout preheati ng however, you ma y f ind you need t o add an ex tra 5-10 m inutes on the r ecomm ended cooking t imes.
24 HINTS AND TIPS · Arrange the shelv es in the requ ired positions before switc hing the oven ON. Shelf pos itions are num bered from the bottom up wards.
25 The oven temperatur es are intend ed as a g uide onl y . It m ay be necessar y to i ncrease or decreas e the temper atures by 10°C to s uit ind ividual pref erences a nd requir ements.

It is par ticularl y suitable for delicate fro zen foods whic h are to be serve d cold, e.g . cream fill ed gateaux, cakes covered with icings or frostings, c heesecak es, bisc uits, scones, etc .

29 CLEANING INSIDE THE MAIN OVEN The sides and back of the m ain oven are coat ed with a Sta y c lean surf ace. The Sta y clea n surfac es inside the oven should not be cleaned m anually.
