4 OPERA TION Bef ore using Remov e all securing tapes. W ash inside the appliance with luke warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water).
5 Fresh f ood refrigeration T o obtain the best perf or mance, do not store warm f ood or ev aporating liquids in the refrigerator ; cov er or wrap the f ood, par ticularly if it has a strong flavour . Do not cov er the shelves with an y protective material, such as paper , cardboard or plastic, which ma y obstr uct the air circulation.

7 The freezer compar tment The four-star freezer compar tment is suitable for storage of commercially frozen f ood and for freezing fresh f oods. Freezing fresh f ood When freezing fresh f oods set the slider control to the “min” position and turn the ther mostat control to a higher setting.

9 • K eep the time between buying chilled f ood and placing it in your fr idge as shor t as possible . T ests showed that the temper ature of 1 litre of orange juice rose to 22°C in an hour between the supermar ket and home . It then took 11 hours to get down to 7°C in the refrigerator .
10 MAINTENANCE A ND CLEANING External c leaning Many pr oprietary kitchen surface cleaner s contain chemicals that can attac k/damage the plastics used in this appliance. For this reason it is recommended that the outer casing of this appliance is only c leaned with warm water with a little washing-up liquid added.
