4 OPERA TION Bef ore using Remov e all securing tapes. W ash inside the appliance with luke warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water).
5 Fresh f ood refrig eration T o obtain the best perf or mance, do not store w ar m f ood or ev aporating liquids in the refrigerator ; cov er or wrap the f ood, par ticularly if it has a strong flav our . Do not cov er the shelves with an y protective material, such as paper , cardboard or plastic, which ma y obstr uct the air circulation.
6 W arning If using the appliance with the salad dra wer remov ed, please ensure the vent in the bac k wall of the appliance is not obstructed. D756 P ositioning the door shelves The door shelves can be easily remo ved f or cleaning. Gently ease the shelf in the directions shown.
7 The freezer compar tment The f our-star freezer compar tment is suitable f or storage of commercially frozen f ood and f or freezing fresh f oods. Freezing fresh f ood When freezing fresh f oods set the slider control to the “min” position and turn the ther mostat control to a higher setting.

10 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING External c leaning Many pr oprietary kitchen surface cleaner s contain chemicals that can attac k/damage the plastics used in this appliance. For this reason it is recommended that the outer casing of this appliance is only c leaned with warm water with a little washing-up liquid added.
