Getting S tarted 4 Getting S tarted 5 NO TE: Some applications may require a microSDHC card to work normally or may store certain data on it. T herefore , it is recommended that you k eep a microSDHC card installed and not remove or replace it randomly.

Getting S tarted 9 S tatus and Notification Icons Y our phone will tell you exactly what’ s going on by showing you simple icons . Here’ s what they mean. Indicators and Icons Extended Home Scr een T he Home Screen extends beyond the screen width, giving you a lot more space to add more stuff .
Using the Notification P anel Flick the status bar downwards from across the top of the screen to open the Notification P anel , where you can see your calendar events , new messages , and current settings – such as call forwarding or call status .
Making Calls T here are many ways to mak e a call with your phone. And they’re all easy to do . Calling From the Dialer 1. Press the Home K ey > > Dialer or tap on the Home Screen. 2. Enter the phone number with the on-screen k eypad. T ap to delete wrong digits .
14 Contacts 15 Y ou can add contacts on your phone and synchronize them with the contacts in your Google account or other accounts that support contact syncing. T o see your contacts , press the Home K ey > > P eople . F rom there , you can tap the tabs on the top to quickly switch to dialer , call log, favorite contacts , or contact groups .
When you tap a field that needs text or numbers , a k eyboard automatically appears on the screen. Hold the input box and tap Input method from the pop-up menu to change input method. Y ou can press the Back K ey or hold the Menu K ey to hide the onscreen k eyboard.
Y our SMS (text message) and MMS (multimedia messaging service) are combined into one menu in Messages . Message Bo x Instead of an inbox and outbox, your phone organizes all messages you sent and received into one box, where messages exchanged with the same number are grouped into one message thread in the messages screen.
20 21 Receiving Emails Press the Menu K ey > Refresh to download recent emails . Y ou can tap Load more messages at the bottom of the email list to download earlier messages . Composing and Sending an Email After creating an email account, you can compose and send email messages .
22 23 Y our phone’ s impressive networking capabilities allow you to access the Internet or your corporate network with ease . Y ou can use default connection settings to connect to the Internet via your mobile network (GPRS/EDGE/3G), or Wi-Fi . T he GPRS/EDGE/3G connection can be enabled/disabled manually.
25 24 Y ou can use your phone to get on the Internet via a GPRS , EDGE, 3G , or Wi-Fi connection. Press the Home K ey > > Browser . T here are different ways to open web pages: • T ap the address bar to enter the website you want to browse and then tap .

29 28 Creating Playlists Playlists help you organize your music files: 1. Select a music file you w ant to add to a new playlist. 2 . T ap and hold on the file until a shortcut menu pops up. 3. T ap Add to playlist > New . 4. T ype the playlist name and tap Save .

33 32 Y ou can use the USB mass storage feature to transfer data between the microSDHC card and PC . T o T urn On USB Mass S t orage: 1. Insert the microSDHC card into your phone and connect the phone to the PC with a USB cable . 2. Slide down the notification panel and tap USB connected > T urn on USB storage .
