ASSEMBL Y 7 ASSEMBL Y Y our generator requir es some assembly and is ready f or use after it has been properl y ser viced with the recommended oil and petr ol. Remo ve Generator F r om Car ton 1. Set carton on a rigid flat surface . 2. Carefull y open top flaps of shipping carton.
USING THE GENERA T OR 8 USING THE GENERA T OR System Gr ound The generator has a system ground that connects the generator frame components to the ground terminals on the AC output r eceptacles. The system ground is connected to the AC neutral wir e (the neutral is bonded to the generator frame).
OPERA TING THE GENERA T OR 9 OPERA TING THE GENERA T OR Star ting the Engine Disconnect all electrical loads from the generator . Use the following start instructions: 1. Mak e sure unit is on a le vel surface. IMPOR T ANT: Failur e to star t and operate unit on a lev el surface will cause the unit not to start or shut down during operation.
OPERA TING THE GENERA T OR 10 RECEPT A CLES A C V oltmeter (Model 030213 Only) Use the voltmeter as a visual aid. It indicates AC v oltage. If the meter indicates that AC output v oltage is far below 230 V olts, engine speed or frequency ma y be too low .
OPERA TING THE GENERA T OR 11 DON'T O VERLO AD GENERA T OR Capacity Y ou must mak e sure y our generator can supply enough rated (running) and surge (starting) watts for the items you will po wer at the same time. Follow these simple steps: 1. Select the items you will po wer at the same time.
