1 Before Use What you can do with this software This sof tware provid es digitizing a nd editing c apabilities, allowing yo u the creative freedom to de sign origina l embroide ry. Easily com bine images an d text to crea te embroidery patterns tha t can be written to an origina l card.

9 Tutorial Understanding the Window and Using Tools The defau lt value for th e design page size in this example is 1 00 × 100 mm. 1 Title bar 2 Menu bar Provides access to t he functions. 3 Toolbar Provides shortcuts for the menu co mmands. 4 Sewing Attribute s bar Sets the s ewing attributes (col or and sew typ e) of regions in the patter n.
10 Tutorial Adding Text and Converting an Image to an Embroidery Design (Auto Punch Function) In this s ection, we are g oing to use the Au to Punch func tion to automatic ally create an e mbroidery pa ttern from an image . This proc edure will go through each step of the ba sic operati on.
11 Tutorial Specify the si ze. For this example, use the default s ize of 10.0 mm . Select the color. For this example, use th e default c olor, BLACK . Sele ct th e se w ty pe. F or this e xam ple, us e the default s ew type, Satin Stitch . Move to where you wan t to add the te xt, and then click.
12 Tutoria l Adjust the t ext size a nd positio n. Click on the Tool Box. → The sha pe of the poin ter changes to . Click th e text , and then drag a handle t o adjust the selected tex t to the desi red size. Move th e pointer over the selected te xt.
13 Tutorial Step 2 Adjust ing the te xt la yout Next, we will change the text arrangem ent. Click Text , then Text Lay out , or click on the toolbar. → The T ext Layout dial og box appears. Move t he top and bottom sliders , or click a button to sel ect t he desi red t ext cu rving and spacin g.
14 Tutorial Select the sample file tu lip.bmp , and then click Op en , or doubl e-click the file’ s icon. → The ima ge appears in th e Design Page. Adjust th e image s ize and position. Drag the handle to ad just the selec ted image to the des ired size.
15 Tutorial Convert the ima ge to an embroidery pattern. Check t he Result View of the con version, and then clic k Finish . → The gene rated embroid ery pattern is disp layed. Step 5 Specif ying the sewing color and direction Next, we wil l change the sewing color an d dire ction .
16 Tutorial Specify th e color. For this ex ample, click to select HARVEST GOLD , and t hen cl ick OK . → The color of the selecte d region change s to HARVEST GOLD. Change the sewing direction. To add contrast a nd improve t he appearanc e of the em broidery, we c an use different sewing directions for d ifferent regio ns.
17 Tutorial Step 6 Changing t he sewing order Next, we w ill ch ange the sew ing order so that th e black t ext and the b lack tulip o utline are se wn together. This fea ture is also used when yo u want to change the overlappi ng order of pat terns so that the desi red color com es forward.
18 Tutorial Click Display , t hen Realistic Preview , or click on the toolbar. To return to the normal v iew, click Display , then Re alistic Preview , or click on the toolbar , o r press the key. Step 8 Saving the embroidery design Once the embroide ry design is finishe d, you may want to sa ve it in orde r to retrieve it la ter.
19 Tutorial Step 9 Transferring the design to an original c a rd By writin g a design to a me dia that can be us ed in your sew ing machine and transferri ng it to your sewin g machine, you can actually s ew the design . For this example, we will tra nsfer the d esign to an original card.

The Select Object tool is us ed to select one or more patterns. O nce a pattern is selected, you can m ove it, scale it, and change its directi on by rotating i t or inverting it.
