General setup 3 1 Automatic D a ylight Saving Time 1 You can set t he machi ne to change automatical ly f or day light saving time. It will reset i tself for ward one hour in the Spri ng and backward one h our in t he F all. Make sure you have set the correc t date a nd tim e in the Date & Time setti ng.

You wil l not be able to schedule Delay ed Faxes or Polling jobs. However, any pr e-schedul ed Delayed Faxes wil l b e sent e ven i f you t urn on Memory Secur ity, so they will not be lost.

Sending a f ax 11 3 NOTE You can choos e four different reso lution setti ngs for black & white f axes and two f or color faxe s. If you choose S.Fine or Photo and then send a c o lor fax ( c h oosing Color in Color Setting ), t he machi ne will send the fax using the Fine setting.

Chapter 5 34 Co nvert ing tele phone wall outlets 5 There ar e three ways to convert to an RJ11 jac k. The first two way s may re quire help from the telephone company. You can change the wall out lets from one RJ14 jack to two RJ11 jac ks. Or, you can have an RJ11 wall outlet ins talled and slav e or ju m p one of the tele phone numbers t o it.
