T o help you make the best use of your c ooker , PLEASE READ THIS BOOKLET CAREFULL Y . Y our new cooker is guaranteed and will give lasting service. The guarantee is only applicable if the cooker has been installed in accordance with the Installation Instructions.

NEVER . . . NEVER leave childr en unsupervised where the cooker is installed as all sur faces will get hot during and after use. NEVER allow any one to sit or stand on any part of the cooker . NEVER store items that childr en may attempt t o reach abov e the c ooker .

7 TIMER OPERA TION CL OCKF A CE The timer incorporates a 24 hour clock. Ensure the correct time of day is alw ay s set, before using you c ooker . PLEASE NO TE THA T THE DISPL A Y WILL DIM BETWEEN 22.
8 TIMER OPERA TION SETTING THE TIME OF DA Y Step 1 Make sure all oven controls ar e turned Off. Step 2 Check the electricity supply to the cooker is turned on. Step 3 When switched on the display will show 0.00 and A uto symbol wil l be flashing intermittently .
9 TIMER OPERA TION Step 3 Press and hold in the C ook Period button. The display will read 0.00 with the cookpot ( ) symbol lit . Step 4 With the Cook P eriod button still held in, set the required Cook Per io d using the “+” and “–” buttons.
10 TIMER OPERA TION Step 4 Press & hold in the “Cook P eriod” button, the display will read 0.00 and the cookpot ( ) symbol will light up. With the Cook P eriod button still held set the required C ook Pe riod using the “+” and “–” buttons.
11 TIMER OPERA TION O THER NO TES ON TIMER OPERA TION 1. When cooking Automatically the Cook P eriod can be checked at an y time simply by pressing the Cook Period button. 2. When cooking Automatically the End Time can be checked at any t ime by simply pressing the End Time button.
The hotplate lid is fitted with a saf et y device which cuts off the gas supply to the hotplate burners unless the lid is fully open. Do not use the sa fety device as a means of controlling the hotplat e burners.
13 SAFET Y REQUIREMENTS FOR DEEP F A T FRYING 1. Never fill chip pans more than one third full with oil or fat . 2. Never leave oil or fa t unattended during the heating or cooli ng period . 3. Never heat fat or fry with a lid on the pan. 4. Always dry food thoroughly before frying, and lower it slowly into the hot oil or fat.
14 T O USE THE GRILL 1. Open the grill/top oven door and plac e the shelf in the requi red position. 2. T urn the grill control knob clock wise to 4 for full width grilling or anticlockwise for the half grill. 3. Slide the grill pan toward the back of the grill compartment until it stops.
15 O VENS Both ovens ha ve a thermostat light that will illuminat e until the ov en has reached the set temperature . It will then switch off and on during cook ing as the thermostat maintains the temperature . Each shelf has a safety stop to prev ent it from being pulled ou t too far when attending to food .
O VEN COOKING CHAR T Beef/ Lamb (slow roasting) Meat 170/180 35 mins per 450g (1lb) + 35 mins ov er . Runner 1 from bottom of ov en. 35-40 mins per 450g (1lb) 40 mins per 450g (1lb) + 40 mins ov er 40.
Note: If soft margarine is used for cake making, temper atures recommended by the manuf acturers should be follow ed. The 90˚ setting on the main ov en thermostat can be used for slow c ookin g. PREP ARING FOOD FOR SLOW C OOKING 1. All dishes cooked by the ‘Slow Cook’ setting should be cooked for a minimum 6 hours. They will ‘hold’ at this setting for a further hour but marked deterioration in appearance will be noticed in some cases .
Switch off the electricity supply and allow to c ool before cleaning the cook er . Clean the cooker r egularly and wipe up spills so on after they occur to pr ev ent them from becoming burnt on.
20 CARE AND CLEANING C OOKER FINISH CLEANING METHOD Vitreous Enamel Hotplate , pan suppor ts , hotplate front trim, burner caps, roasting dish, grill pan, main oven base , inside of grill compartment, inside of doors. Cloth wrung out in warm soapy water .
21 CARE AND CLEANING Take particular care not to damage the inner sur face of the door inner glass tha t is coated with a hea t reflec tiv e lay er . D o not use sc ouring pads , or abrasiv e powder , which will scratch the glass. Ensure that the glass panel is not subjected to any sharp mechanical blo ws.

DISPOSAL OF YOUR PR ODUCT : T o minimise the risk to injury to children please dispose of your product carefully and safely . Remove all doors and lids (where fitt ed).
Prior to installation, ensure that the local distr ib ution conditions (nature of the gas and gas pressure) and the adjustment conditions are compatible . The adjustment conditions f or this appliance are stated on the rating label which is fitted on the back panel.

SP ACE FOR FIXING The cooker can be close fitted belo w hotplate lev el. This requires a minimum distance of 600mm between cupboard units of hotplate height. When installing ne xt to a tall cupboard, par tition or wall, f or a minimum distance of 400mm abov e hotplate lev el, allow a side clearance of at least 65mm.
LEVELLING T wo rear wheels and two front feet are fitted which can be adjusted up or do wn to set the height (915mm) and le vel the cook er . 1. The rear wheels can be raised or low ered from the BACK of the cooker b y adjusting the le velling scre ws ‘A’ in the plinth.
