T o help you make the best use of y our cooker , PLEASE READ THIS BOOKLET CAREFULL Y . Y our new cooker is guaranteed and will give lasting service. The guarant ee is only applicable if the cooker has been installed in accordance with the Installation Instructions.

7 TIMER OPERA TION CL OCKF ACE The timer incorporat es a 24 hour clock. Ensure the corr ec t time of da y is alwa ys set , before using y ou c ooker . PLEASE NO TE THA T THE DISPL A Y WILL DIM BETWEEN 22.
8 TIMER OPERA TION SET TING THE TIME OF DA Y Step 1 Make sure all oven contr ols are turned Off. Step 2 Check the electricity supply to the cooker is turned on. Step 3 When switched on the display will sho w 0.00 and Auto symbol wil l be flashing intermittently .
9 TIMER OPERA TION Step 3 Press and hold in the C ook P eriod button. The display will r ead 0.00 with the cookpot ( ) symbol lit . Step 4 With the Cook P eriod button still held in, set the required Cook Pe ri od using the “+” and “–” buttons.
10 TIMER OPERA TION Step 4 Press & hold in the “Cook P eriod” button, the display will read 0.00 and the cookpot ( ) symbol will light up. With the Cook P eriod button still held set the required C ook Pe riod using the “+” and “–” buttons.
11 TIMER OPERA TION O THER NO TES ON TIMER OPERA TION 1. When cooking Automatically the C ook Period can be checked at an y time simply by pressing the Cook P eriod button. 2. When cooking Automatically the End Time can be checked at any t ime by simply pressing the End T ime button.
The hotplate lid is fitt ed with a safety device which cuts off the gas supply to the hotplate burners unless the lid is fully open. D o not use the sa f ety device as a means of controlling the hotpla te burners.
13 SAFET Y REQUIREMENTS FOR DEEP F A T FRYING 1. Never fill chip pans more than one third full with oil or fat . 2. Never leav e oil or fat unattended during the heating or cooli ng period . 3. Never heat fat or fr y with a lid on the pan. 4. Always dry food thoroughly before frying, and lower it slowly into the hot oil or fat.
14 T O USE THE GRILL 1. Open the grill/top ov en door and place the shelf in the requi red position. 2. T urn the grill control k nob clockwise to 4 for full width grilling or anticlockwise for the half grill. 3. Slide the grill pan towar d the back of the grill compar tment until it st ops.
15 O VENS Both ovens ha ve a thermostat light tha t will illuminate until the ov en has reached the set temperatur e. It will then switch off and on during cook ing as the thermostat maintains the tempera ture. Each shelf has a safety stop to pr event it from being pulled ou t too far when a ttending to food .
O VEN COOKING CHAR T Beef/ Lamb (slow roasting) Meat 170/180 35 mins per 450g (1lb) + 35 mins ov er . Runner 1 from bottom of ov en. 35-40 mins per 450g (1lb) 40 mins per 450g (1lb) + 40 mins ov er 40.
Note: If soft margarine is used for cak e making, temperatures recommended b y the manuf acturers should be f ollo wed. T emperatures recommended in th is char t ref er to cakes made with b loc k margarine only . O VEN COOKING CHAR T 17 Scones Food Pre- heat Ye s 210/220 10-15 Runner 1 from bottom of ov en.
The 90˚ setting on the main ov en thermostat can be used for slo w cookin g. PREP ARING FOOD FOR SL OW C OOKING 1. All dishes cooked by the ‘Slow C ook ’ setting should be cooked for a minimum 6 hours. They will ‘hold’ at this setting for a fur ther hour but marked deterioration in appearance will be noticed in some cases .
Swit ch off the elec tricity supply and allo w to cool befor e cleaning the cooker . Clean the cook er regularly and wipe up spills soon after they occur to pre ven t them from becoming burn t on.
20 CARE AND CLEANING C OOKER FINISH CLEANING METHOD Vitreous Enamel Hotplate , pan suppor ts , hotplate fron t trim, burner caps, roasting dish, grill pan, main oven base , inside of grill compar tment , inside of doors. Cloth wrung out in warm soapy wat er .
21 CARE AND CLEANING Take particular care not to damage the inner sur fac e of the door inner glass that is coat ed with a heat reflective la y er . Do not use scouring pads , or abrasive powder , which will scrat ch the glass. Ensure that the glass panel is not subjected to an y sharp mechanical blows .

DISPOSAL OF Y OUR PRODUCT : T o minimise the risk to injury to children please dispose of your product carefully and safely . Remove all doors and lids (wher e fitted).
Prior to installation, ensure that the local distr ib ution conditions (nature of the gas and gas pressure) and the adjustment conditions are compatib le. The adjustment conditions f or this appliance are stated on the rating label which is fitted on the bac k panel.

SP A CE FOR FIXING The cook er can be close fitted below hotplate le vel. This requires a minimum distance of 600mm betw een cupboard units of hotplate height. When installing ne xt to a tall cupboard, par tition or wall, f or a minimum distance of 400mm abov e hotplate lev el, allow a side clearance of at least 65mm.
LEVELLING T wo rear wheels and two front f eet are fitted which can be adjusted up or down to set the height (915mm) and le v el the cooker . 1. The rear wheels can be raised or lo wered from the BA CK of the cook er by adjusting the le v elling screws ‘A’ in the plinth.
OPERA TIONAL CHECKS 28 W ARNING - THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EAR THED The cooker m ust be connected by a qualified electrician to a suitab le double - pole control unit with a minimum rating of 32A and a minim um contact clearance of 3mm, which should be fitted adjacent to (but not abo v e) the cook er , in accordance with IEE regulations.
