Network Requirements Bef ore connecting the machine to the netw ork, mak e sure that configuration of the computer and access point or r outer is complete, and that the computer is connected to the netw ork.
Pr eparing t o Connect My Multifunction T o My Ne twork Be sure to prepare an access point. Important Information Y ou Need Befor e Adding Y o ur Multifunction The following information is required to connect to your access p oint or router. • Access Point Name/Network Name: Also referred to as SSID .
Inst alling the Driv ers & Softwar e To use the m achine by connecting it to a computer, so ftware including the drivers needs to be copied (installed) to the compu ter 's hard disk.
Step Four Click Ea sy Install . Click Insta ll . The dri vers, application software, and on -screen manu als are installed all together. Step Three Enter your administrator name and password. Click OK . If you do not know your administrator name or password, click Help , then follow the on -scre en instructions.
Step Six Select Use the printer with wireless LAN connection , then click Next . Follow any on-screen instructions to proceed with the software installatio n.
Step Eight When the Create an Alias on Desktop screen appears, select Agree if you want an alias of the On-Screen manual to be placed on the desktop , otherwise select D o n ot Agree, then click Next Step Seven Read the License Agreement screen carefully and click Yes .
10 Step Nine Select Agree or Do not Agree on the Add Easy-WebPrint EX to the Dock screen, then click Next Step T en Click Skip or Next on th e Download Easy-webPrint screen.

Step Fourteen When the Connect Cable screen appears, connect the machine to the computer with the Wireless LAN setup cable. Follow the on -screen instructions and click Next . 13 Ins talling the Driver s & Softw are Step Fifteen When the Confirm Connection Access Point screen appears click Next.

Step Two 2-A 1. Select Canon MXxxx series in the li st of printers, then click Add . *xxx refers to the model n umber. MX410 series shown in example, below 2. Step Three When the Register Printer a nd Scanner screen appears, click Register S canner . Step Two 2-B 4. Make sure that the Canon MXxxx series is added to the list of printers.
Step Five Click Next on the Register Printer and Scan ner screen. Step Four Select Canon MX410 series on the Canon IJ Network Scanner Selector EX screen, then click OK 20 R egist ering the Print er &a.
Step Seven Click Next on the Register Printer and Scan ner screen. Step Six Click Next on the Print He ad Alignment Recommended screen. 21 R egist ering the Print er & Sc anner.
If the Exte nded Survey Program screen appears: If yo u can agree to Extended Survey Program, click Agree. If y ou click Do not agree , the Extended Survey Program will not be installed . (This h as no effect on the machine's functionality.). Step Eight If the User Registr ation screen appears, read the information and click Next or Can cel .
Step Nine Click Exit. Setup is complete *It is necess ary to restart the computer before scanning using the Operation Panel on the machine for the first time.
