If Y our W all Plate Has One Jack For T w o Lines If y our w all jac k provides one jack for tw o phone lines, it w ould be bes t to use a “2 Line 3 W ay Adapter .” This ada pter can be purchase d at mos t stores that sell elec tronic s. This device creates thre e plugs where there w as o ne.
Fax to Phone Line Connection First, c onnect one end of t he supplied telephone cord to the t elephone jack on the wall. Next Previous 6 (Phone Cor d inclu ded with C anon p rint er) W a ll Jack.
Fax to Phone Line Connection Nex t, co nnec t the other end of the suppl ied telepho ne c ord to the low er jac k (label ed “L”) on the M X 360 or M X 410.
Setting Up The Recei ve Mode Next Previous.
Step 1 T urn on the M X 360 or M X 410 by press ing the ON button. Step 2 Press the F AX button. Next Previous 9 MX360 M X410.
Step 4 Use the Left or Right Arro w butto n to sele ct “Rec eive mo de set”. Step 3 Press the Menu button Next Previous 10.
Step 5 Press the OK button Step 6 The “Recei ve mode set” scree n w ill appear Next Previous 11.
Step 7 Use the Left or Right arrow button to selec t “Fax on ly mode ” Step 8 Ensure tha t “Fax on ly mode” is displ ayed Next Previous 12.
Step 9 Press the OK button Step 10 The “M ake advance d settin gs? ” scree n will appear Next Previous 13.
Step 1 1 Press the F AX button Step 12 Y our M X 360 or M X 410 is now set to F AX only mode. Notice that the mode is listed on the fax stan dby scre en.
T o Rece ive A Fax W hen a call come s i n on the fax line , the M X360 or M X 410 will answer the call and begin recei ving th e fax . Y ou do not hav e to be home or intera ct w ith the M X 360 o r M X410 to receive a fax .
