Network R equirements Bef ore c onnecting the machine to the network, mak e sure that configur ation of the c omputer and access point or router is complete, and that the c omputer is connected to the netw ork.
Pr eparing to Connect My Multifunction T o My Netw ork Be sure to prepare an access point. Important Information Y ou Need Befor e Adding Y our Multifunction The following information is required to connect to your access point or router. • Access Point Name/Network Name: Also referred to as SSID .

Step Five Select the access p oint name, then press the OK bu tton. NOTE : If you are living in an apartment, nearby access points in use may be detected.
Step Eight Make sur e that the n etwork key is correct, then press the left FUNCTION button. (below End setup) . If the Exten ded Survey Program screen appears: If you can agree to Extended Survey Program, click Agree. If you click Do not agree , the Extended Survey Program will not be in stalled. (This has no effect on the m achine's functionality.). Step Eight If the User Registr ation screen app ears, read the information and click Next or Cancel .
Step Nine Click Exit. Setup is complete *It is necess ary to restart the computer before scanning using the Operation Panel on the machine for the first time.
