2172-4 To delete log data Holding down A for about two seconds in the Recall Mode or Dive Profile Mode deletes all the log data and dive profile data for the currently displayed record. • Deleting log data while a surface interval timing operation is in progress stops the surface interval timing operation.

2172-6 As can be expected according to the nitrogen uptake characteristics illustrated in Figure 1, the left side of the graph climbs steeply when submersing, with the upward slope flattening out as you move to the right.
2172-7 Repeat Diving and the Nitrogen Graph • The boundary shown here is an example intended for reference purposes only. Repeat diving causes nitrogen to build up in slow tissue. Even if each dive is relatively shallow, repeat diving over a number of days can cause safety problems due to build up of nitrogen in the body.
2172-8 BACKLIGHT The backlight uses an EL (electro- luminescent) panel that causes the entire display to glow for easy reading in the dark. The watch ’ s auto light switch automatically turns on the backlight when you angle the watch towards your face.
2172-9 REFERENCE This section contains more detailed and technical information about watch operation. It also contains important precautions and notes about the various features and functions of this watch.
2172-10 Warning! • The settings made by a proper automatic or manual 0 . 0 l ( 0 F ) reset are based on the actual temperature and other conditions under which you are diving at that time, and so they are more accurate.
2172-11 Backlight Precautions • The electro-luminescent panel that provides illumination loses power after very long use. • The illumination provided by the backlight may be hard to see when viewed under direct sunlight. • The watch will emit an audible sound whenever the display is illuminated.
