1. SAFETY INFORMATION Before the installation and us e of the appliance, careful- ly read the supplied instru ctions. The manufacturer is not responsible if an incorre ct installation and use cau- ses injuries and damages. Al ways keep the instructions with the appliance fo r future reference.
• Before maintenance cut the power supply. • Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or shar p metal scrapers to clean the gl ass door since they can scratch the surface, which ma y result in shattering of the glass. • To remove the shel f supports first pull the front of the shelf support a nd then the rear end away from the side walls.
Contact the Service or an electrician to change a damaged mains cable. • Do not let mains cables to come in touch with the appliance door, spe- cially when the door is hot. • The shock protection of live and insu- lated parts must be fastened in such a way that it c annot be re moved witho ut tools.
• Be careful when you remove the door from the appliance. Th e door is heavy! • Clean regularly the appliance to pre- vent the deterioration of the surface material. • Remaining fat or food in the appliance can cause fire. • Clean the appliance with a moist soft cloth.
4. BEFORE FIRST USE WARNING! Refer to the Safety chapters. 4.1 Initial Cleaning • Remove all parts from the a ppliance. • Clean the appliance before first use. Refer to chapter "Care and Cleaning". 4.2 Setting the time You must set the time before you operate the oven.
5.2 Activating and deactivating the main oven 1. Turn the knob for the main oven functions to an oven function. 2. Turn the knob for the main oven temperature to a temperature. The power indicator comes on while the appliance operates. The temperature indicator comes on while the temperature in th e appli- ance increases.

5. Turn the knob for the oven functions and the knob for the temperature to the off position. 6.3 Cancelling the clock functions 1. Press the Selection button again and again until the indicator for the nec- essary function flashes. 2. Press and hold the button " - " until an acoustic signal sounds.
To roast larger pieces of meat or poul- try on one level: 1. Put the roasting pan grid in the deep roasting pan. The supports of the roasting pan grid m ust point up. 2. Always pre-heat the empty oven with the grill functions for 5 mi- nutes. • Set the shelf in the shelf lev el as recommended in the grill- ing table. • Always set the p an to collect the fat into the first shelf level. • Grill only flat pieces of meat or fish.
• Clean stubborn dirt with a special oven cleaner. • Clean all oven accessories (with a soft cloth with warm water and cleaning agent) after each use and let them dry. • If you have nonstick accessories, do not clean them using an aggressive agents, s harp edged objects or dis h- washer.
9.2 Oven Ceiling You can fold down the heating e lement on the oven ceiling to clean the oven ceiling easily. WARNING! Before you fold down the hea t- ing element switch off the appli- ance. Make sure that the appli- ance is cold. There is a risk of burns! Folding down the heating element 1.
