5 Operating Instructions Oper ating Instructions 1 Safety Prior to using for the fir st time • Follow the ”Instruction s for installation and connection” . Corre ct use • The dishwasher is only intended for washing domestic dishes. • Additions or modifications to the dishwasher are not permitted.

Switching on for the first time – setting the language 8 Switching on for the fir st time – setting the lan guage 1. Press the ON/OFF button. First of all HELLO appear s in the display . As soon as the dishwasher is ready for use, this is replaced by LANGUAGE ENGLISH; the word ENGLISH is flashing.
9 Display Display The info status bar consists of a row of individual lamps that is divide d into two sections: the left section r efers to the Pr ogrammes menu, the right section to the Options menu. • In the Pr ogramme s and Options menus you can see at what stage within a cy cle you curre ntly are (the r elevant lamp flashes).

11 Basic operation The Options menu • Here go to the desired setting using the direction buttons ( or ). In the info status bar your position within the menu is always shown .

Prior to using for the fir st time 14 Adding special salt To decalcify the wate r softener , it must be filled up with special salt. Use only special salt suitable for domestic dishwashers . If you do not use 3 in1 deter gent, fill up with special salt: – Before using the dishwasher for the first time.
15 Prior to using for the fir s t time Filling up wi th rinse aid With rinse aid the rinsing water dr ains away better and so you get smearf re e, gleaming dishes and clear glasses. If you do not use 3in1 deter gent, fill up with rinse aid: – Before using the dishwasher for the first time.
Prior to using for the fir st time 16 Setting the amount of rinse aid requir ed 3 Only change the amount dispensed, if smear s, milky spots (r educe the amount) or dried on water spots (increase the amount) can be seen on glasses and dishes. (See section “If dishwashing r esults ar e not satisfactory” .
17 In daily use In daily use Loading cutlery and dishes 1 Sponges, cle aning cloths and any other objects that can absorb water must not be washed in the dishwasher . Plastic and Te floncoated dishes and pans tend to retain water dr o plets. These dishes and pans ther efore do not dry as well as those made of china and stainless steel.
In daily use 18 Loading cutlery 1 War ni n g : Sharp knives and other items of cutlery with sharp edges must be laid in the cutlery r ack or in the upper basket to avoid the risk of injury .
19 In daily use Loading / Unloading lower basket and upper basket To load and unload, pull out or push in the upper and lower baskets in the middle us ing the handle on the fr ont of the basket. P ots, P ans, Large Plates Load larger and heavily soiled dishes and pans in the lower basket.
In daily use 20 Beer glasses and champagne glasses Up to four wheat beer glasses, Pils glasses, etc. can be hung in the beer glass holder s on the lefthand side in the bottom basket. If necessary , the beer glass holders can be folded up out of the way .
21 In daily use The bars that fix the beer glass holder s or cup racks can be r emoved, if r equir ed. 1. Push the bars back using the thumbs (see the picture). 1 Important: Ris k of injury: Do not take hold of the bars with the hand; place the hand under the bar s on the cut lery basket for support.
In daily use 22 Cups, Glasses, Coffee Service Load smaller , fragile crockery and long, sharp cutlery in the upper basket. • Arrange items of cr ockery on and under the folding cup racks so that they are offset from each other and water can reach all items .
23 In daily use • The row of spikes on the left of the upper basket is also in two parts and can be folded away . Spikes not folded away: place glasses, mugs etc.
In daily use 24 Adding deter gent Detergents r emo ve the dirt from dishes and cutlery . The detergent must be added before the cycle starts. 1 Only use deter gent intended for domestic dishwashers . The detergent compartment is located on the inside of the door .
25 In daily use Concentrated deter gents Today’ s detergents for dishwashers ar e almost exclusively lowalkaline concen trated deter gents with natural enzymes in tablet or powder form.
In daily use 26 Using 3in1 detergents These products ar e detergents with a comb ined cleaning, rinsing and salt function. When the 3in1 function is activated, – the addition of special salt and rinse aid from the r espective dispenser is pre vented.

29 In daily use Starting a dishwashing cycle 1. Check that the spray arms can turn fr eely . 2. Turn the water tap on fully . 3. Close the door . 4. Press the O N/OFF butt on. 5. Using the dire ction buttons ( or ) select the desir ed cycle. The name of the selected dishwashing cycle will flash.
In daily use 30 Interrupting or aborti ng a dishwashing cycle Only interrupt a dishwashing cycle that is in progr ess if it is absolutely necessary . Interrupting the dis hwashing pr ogramme by opening the dis hwasher door 1 Hot steam may escape when the do or is opened.
31 In daily use Setting the delay start 3 With the delay start you can delay the start of a dishwashing cycle f or between 1 and 19 hours. Fir st of all s et the delay start and then the desired dish washing cycle. 1. Go to the DELA Y START option; see section “ Adapting an option/setting” .

33 Care and cleaning Car e and cleaning 1 Do not use furniture care pr oducts or aggressive cleaner s. • When necessary , clean the dishwa sher’s contr ols with a soft cloth and clean warm water . • Occasionally check the internal dispenser s, door seal and water inlet filter (if fitted) for dirt and clean them, if necessary .
Care and cleaning 34 5. Remove the flat filte r (3) from the b ase of the washing compartment and clean both surfaces thoroughly . 6. Reinsert the flat filter . 7. Place the fine filter in the micr ofilter and fit the two together . 8. I n sert the filter system in place and lock it by turning the handle clock wise as far as it will go.
35 What to do if … What to do if … Resetting the language Y ou ca n rese t the language of the display to the factory setting at any time. As well as the language, the CONTRAST 1 and BRIGHTNESS settings are also r eset. 1. Press the RESET button repeatedly until the display in the display no longer changes .

37 What to do if … Rust spots are visible in the dishwashing co mpartment. The dishwashing compartme nt is made from rustfree stain less steel. Rust spots in the washing comp artment are due to rust particles from external sources (rust particles from wa ter pipes, pans, cutlery , etc.
What to do if … 38 If the dishwashing r esults are not satis factory The dis hes are still dirty . • The wrong dishwashing cycle was selected. • The dishes were loaded is such a way that the dishwashing water did no t reach all items . The baskets for the dishes must not be overloaded.
39 Disposal Disposal 2 P ackaging material The packaging materials are environm entally friendly and can be r ecycled. The plastic components are identif ied by markings , e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc. Ple ase dis pose of the packaging materials in the appropriate container at the comm unity waste disposal facilities.
