OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS Safety instructions The safety of AEG electrical appliances conforms to accepted rules of technology and the Appliance Safety Act. W e as manufactur er s, however , see ourselves as being obliged to familiarise you with the following safety instructions.
● The water in your dishwasher is not for drinking. Deter gent r esidues may still be pr esent in your machine. K eep childr en well away fr om your dishwasher when the door is open. ● K eep all deter gents in a safe place out of childr en’ s r each.
Disposal Dispose of the dishwasher packaging material corr ectly . All packaging materials can be r ecycled. Plastic parts ar e marked with standar d international abbr eviations: >PE< for polyethylene, e.g. sheet wr apping material. >PS< for polystyr ene, e.

Operating instructions 8 Function push buttons: in addition to the dishwashing pr ogr amme selected, the following functions can also be set with the help of these buttons: - water softener setting, - deactivation/activation of the inflow of rinse aid, - deactivation/activation of the audible signals, - the cancelling of a washing pr ogr amme.

Operating instructions 10 Prior to using for the first time Befor e using your dishwasher for the fir st time: 1. Ensur e that the electrical and water connections comply with the installation instructions 2. Remove all packaging fr om inside the appliance 3.
a) Setting manually 1. Open the dishwasher door . 2. Remove the lower basket fr om the dishwasher . 3. T urn the water har dness switch to position 1 or 2 (see table). 4. Replace the lower basket. The dishwasher is factory set at position 2. b) Setting electr onically (The dishwasher must be switched off) The dishwasher is factory set at level 5.
Operating instructions 12 4. T o change the level, pr ess push button 1 . Each time the push button is pr essed the level changes. (For the selection of the new level see the chart). Examples: if the curr ent level is 5, by pr essing push button 1 once, level 6 is selected.
Operating instructions 13 Filling the with salt Only use salt specifically designed for use in dishwashers . All other types of salt not specifically designed for use in a dishwasher , especially table salt, will damage the water softener . Only fill with salt just befor e starting one of the complete washing pr ogr ammes .
Operating instructions 14 Rinse aid Rinse aid is automatically added during the last rinse, ensuring thor ough rinsing, and spot and str eak fr ee drying. The dispenser , which is positioned inside the door , holds about 1 1 0 ml of rinse aid, which is sufficient for 16 - 40 dishwashing pr ogr ammes, depending upon the dosage setting.
Operating instructions 15 Adjusting the dose Accor ding to the finish and drying r esults obtained, adjust the dose of rinse aid by means of the 6 position selector (position 1 minimum dosage, position 6 maximum dosage). The dose is factory set in position 4.
Operating instructions 16 If you ar e using dishwasher deter gent that alr eady contains rinse aid, the deter gent including the rinse aid must be placed in the deter gent compartment. In this case the rinse aid inflow must be deactivated in or der to avoid a double dosage.
Operating instructions 17 In daily use • Check if it’ s necessary to refill with special salt or rinse aid. • Load cutlery and dishes into the dishwasher . • Fill with dishwasher detergent. • Select a wash progr amme suitable for the cutlery and dishes.
Operating instructions 18 For washing in the di shwas her the following cutlery/dis hes are not suitable: • Cutlery with wooden, horn, china or mother-of-pearl handles • Plastic items that are not.
Operating instructions 19 Open the door and slide out the baskets to load the dishes. The lower basket The lower basket is designed to take saucepans, lids, plates, salad bowls, cutlery etc. Serving dishes and lar ge lids should be arr anged ar ound the edge of the basket, ensuring that the spr ay arms can turn fr eely .
Operating instructions 20 The cutlery basket Long bladed knives stor ed in an upright position ar e a potential hazar d. Long and/or sharp items of cutlery such as carving knives must be positioned horizontally in the upper basket. T ake car e when loading or unloading sharp items such as knives .
The upper basket The upper basket is designed for plates (dessert plates, saucer s, dinner plates of up to 26 cm in diameter), salad bowls, cups and glasses. Arr ange items on and underneath the cup r acks so that water can r each all surfaces. Glasses with long stems can be placed upside down in the cup r acks.

Operating instructions 23 Use of deter gent Only use deter gents specifically designed for use in dishwashers . Using no mor e then the corr ect amount of deter gent contributes to r educing pollution. Prior to the start of a wash pr ogr amme (not for the "Rinse and Hold" pr ogr amme).
Operating instructions 24 Differ ent kinds of deter gent Deter gent tablets Deter gent tablets of differ ent br ands dissolve at differ ent speeds. For this r eason some deter gent tablets cannot dissolve and develop their full cleaning power during short pr ogr ammes.
Operating instructions 25 Use of "3 in 1" combi deter gents Gener al advice These pr oducts ar e deter gents with integr ated and combined deter gent/rinse-aid and salt functions.
Operating instructions 26 W ashing progr ammes (1) The consumption values were obtained under standar dised conditions. They depend on how full the baskets for the dishes are. V ariations are ther efore possible in pr actice. (2) Testing pr ogramme for EN 50 242 (see "Hints for Test Centr es).
Operating instructions 27 Starting a washing pr ogr amme In this fully integr ated appliance the contr ols ar e located on the top of the door . When selecting a progr amme, the door needs to be open. 1. Check that the baskets have been loaded corr ectly and that the spray arms can r otate fr eely 2.
Operating instructions 28 5. To interrupt or cancel a washing pr ogr amme in pr ogress Interrupt, or cancel a washing pr ogr amme in pr ogr ess ONL Y if it’ s absolutely necessary Attention! Hot steam may escape when the door is opened. Open the door car efully .
Operating instructions 29 7. End of the washing progr amme The dishwasher will automatically stop and an audible signal informs you of the end of the washing pr ogr amme.
Operating instructions 30 Maintenance and cleaning Clean the external surfaces of the machine and contr ol panel with a damp soft cloth. If necessary use only neutr al deter gents. Never use abr asive pr oducts, scouring pads or solvent (acetone, trichlor oethylene etc.
Operating instructions 31 4. T ake hold of the coar se/fine filter ( A/B ) by the handle with the hole and r emove fr om the micr ofilter ( C ). 5. Clean all filter s thor oughly under running water . 6. Remove the flat filter ( D ) fr om the base of the washing compartment and clean both faces thor oughly .
Operating instructions 32 Pr olonged periods of non-operation If you ar e not using the machine for any period of time you ar e advised to: 1. Unplug the appliance and then turn off the water . 2. Leave the door ajar to pr event the formation of any unpleasant smells.

Certain pr oblems ar e due to the lack of simple maintenance or over sights, which can be solved with the help of the instructions given her e, without calling out an engineer . ...a flashing fault code appears The dishwasher will not start or stops during oper ation.

Operating instructions 35 ...the wash r esults are not satisfactory The dishes ar e not clean ● The wr ong washing pr ogr amme has been selected. ● The dishes wer e arr anged in such a way as to stop water r eaching all parts of the surface. The baskets must not be overloaded.
Service 36 Service If after all these checks, the pr oblem per sists, contact your local Service For ce Centr e, quoting the model (Mod.), pr oduct number (PNC) and serial number (S.N.). This information can be found on the r ating plate located on the side of the dishwasher door (see pictur e).
Guarantee terms 37 Guar antee terms (Belgium) Our appliances are pr oduced with the greatest of car e. However , a defect may still occur . Our consumer services department will repair this upon r equest, either during or after the guarantee period. The service life of the appliance will not, however , be reduced as a result.
Guarantee terms 38 10 . Appliances that are easy to tr ansport may be delivered or sent to the consumer services department. Home repair s are only anticipated for bulky appliances or built- in appliances.

Installation instructions 40 Installation instructions Any electrical and/or plumbing work r equir ed to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician and/or plumber or competent person. Remove all packaging befor e positioning the machine.
Installation instructions 41 W ater supply connections This dishwasher may be fed with either hot (max. 60°) or cold water . Nevertheless we advise you a cold water supply . A hot water supply is not always efficient with very soiled cr ockery as it shortens the washing pr ogr ammes a lot.
Installation instructions 42 W ater inlet hose with safety valve After connecting the double-walled water inlet hose, the safety valve is next to the tap. Ther efor e the water inlet hose is only under pr essur e while the water is running. If the water inlet hose starts to leak during this oper ation, the safety valve cuts off the running water .
Installation instructions 43 W ater outlet hose connection The end of the dr ain hose can be connected in the following ways: 1. T o the sink outlet spigot, securing it to the under side of the work surface. This will pr event waste water fr om the sink running into the machine.
Installation instructions 44 Electrical connection Information concerning the electrical connection is given on the r ating plate on the edge of the dishwasher’ s door .
Hints for test centres 45 Hints for test centr es T esting in accor dance with EN 60 7 04 must be carried out with appliance fully loaded and using the test pr ogr amme (see " W ashing pr ogr ammes " chart).
