OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS SAFETY INFORMATION For your safety and corre ct operation of the appliance, read this manual care fully before installation and use. Always keep these inst ructions with the appliance even if you move or sell it. Users must fully know the operati on and sa fety features of the appliance .
Installation • Make sure that the appliance is not damage d because of transport. Do not connect a damaged appliance. If necessar y, contact the supplier. • Remove all packaging before fir st use. • A qualified and competent person mu st do the electrical installation.

Indicator li ghts Wash phase Comes on when the washing phase o r the rinsing phase operates. Dry phase Comes on when the dryin g phase operates. Multitab Comes on when you ac tivate the multitab functi on Refer to 'Multitab function'. Salt 1) Comes on when it i s necessary to fill the sal t container.
• Programme duration . • Remaining time to the end of the programme. • End of a washing programme, the digital display shows a zero. • Number of ho urs in delay st art. •F a u l t c o d e s . Function buttons Use the function buttons for these operati ons: • To set the water softener .
Water hardness is measured in equivalent sc ales: • German degrees (dH°). • French degrees (°TH). • mmol/l (millimol per litre - internatio nal unit for the hardnes s of water). •C l a r k e . Adjust the water softener to the water hardn ess in your area.
2. Release the function butt on A when the digital disp lay shows the current setting. Examples: – level 5 = – level 10 = 3. Press function button A to change the water softener level. Every ti me you press the button, the level increases. 4. Turn the programme knob to the off position to save the operation.
1. Press the release button (A) to open the rinse aid dispenser . 2. Fill the rinse aid dispenser with rinse aid. The mark 'max.' shows the maximum level. 3. Remove the spilled rinse aid with an ab - sorbent cloth to prevent too mu ch foam during the subseq uent washing pro - gramme.
LOADING CUTLERY AND DISHES Helpful hints and tips CAUTION! Only use the appliance for household utensi ls that are applicable for dishwashers. Do not use the appliance to clean objects that can absorb water (spo nges, household cloths, etc.). • Before you load cutlery and dishes, do these steps: – Remove all food re mainings and debris.
The rows of prongs in th e lower basket can be flat to load large dishes, pots, pans and bowls. Cutlery basket WARNING! Do not put long-bladed knives in a vertical positi on. Arrange long an d sharp cu tlery hor i - zontally in the upper basket. Be careful with sharp items.
You can open the cutlery basket to rem ove the cutlery more easily. Do th ese steps to remove the cutlery: 1. Put the cu tlery basket o n a table or wo rk sur - face. 2. Open the handle. 3. Remove the cutlery. Hold the two parts of the handle tightly when you move the cutl ery basket.
• For glasses with long stems, turn t he glass holder to the left or to the right. • You can fold up or down the row of prongs on the left side of the upper basket to in - crease load flexibility. Adjustment of the height of the upper basket You can put the upper basket in two pos itions to increase load flexibility.
USE OF DETERGENT Only use detergents (powder, liquid or ta blet) that are applicable for dishwashers. Follow the data on the packaging: • Dosage recommended by the manufacturer. • Storage recommendat ions. Do not use more than the correct quantity of de tergent to save an environment.
4. If you use detergent tablets, put the de - tergent tablet in the de tergent dispenser (A). 5. Close the lid of the detergent dispenser. Press the lid until it locks into position. Different bran ds of detergent dissolve in differ ent times. Some de tergent tablets do not have the best cleaning results duri ng shor t washing pr ogrammes.
The appliance must be switched off. 1. Press and hold function butto n A. Turn the programme knob counterclockwise until the programme marker agrees with the firs t washing programme on the control p anel. 2. Release function button A when the display shows the wat er hardness level.

CAUTION! Open the door carefully. Hot steam can come free. Interrupting a washing programme Open the door. • The programme stops. Close the door. • The programme co ntinues from the point of interruption. Cancelling a washing programme • Press and hold function buttons A and B.
Standby mode If you do not switch off the applian ce at th e end of the washing programme, the appliance automatically goes into standby mode. The st andby mode decreases energy consumption. Three minutes after the end of the programme, all indicator lights go off and the digital display shows one horizontal bar.
3. To unlock the filter system, turn the han - dle on the microfilter (B) approxima tely 1/4 anticlockwise. 4. Remove the fi lter system. 5. Hold the coarse filter (A) by the handle with the hole. 6. Remove t he coarse filter (A ) from th e microfilte r (B).
If there is a fault, first try to find a solution to the problem yourself. If you cannot find a solution to the problem yourself, contact the Service Force Centre. CAUTION! Switch off the appliance before you do the below suggested corrective actions.

Put the appliance adjacent to a water tap and a water drain. Remove the appliance worktop to install it under a s ink unit or a kitchen worktop. Make sure that the dimens ions of the recess agree with the gi ven dimensions. Do these steps to remove the appliance worktop: 1.
WATER CONNECTION Water inlet hose Connected the appliance to a hot (max. 60°) or cold water supply. If the hot water comes from alternative source s of energy that are more environmentally friendly (e.g. solar or photovoltaic panels an d aeolian), use a hot water supply to decrease energy consumption.
2. Connect the water drain hose to a stan d pipe with vent-hole (minimum internal di - ameter 4 cm). Make sure that the drain hose is n ot bent or squashed to prevent that th e water drains does not drain correctly. Remove the sink plug when the appl iance drains the water to prevent that the water goes back int o the appliance.
